I've had both stainless and blue, the only thing I noticed with the stainless, it seemed to get hot quickly and would it would lose it's accuracy and take longer to cool off. That's just what I noticed and is my opinion.
Honestly, too many of these 'hardcore' chopper types just cut me off out of nowhere, swerving in an out, dangerously close. So I am biased in that they treat others like crap and then expect to us to be all dainty with their feelings about not breaking up their pack when we have the right of way to merge, or whatever else rules they have they they want to put on others while ignoring others' reasonable expectations (of which I could list several more). So when I see this, I don't have a lot of empathy for the biker. I don't know what his concern is, and the way he handles it is obviously unsafe (brake checking and escalating a potential road rage situation) and immature. But yeah, other than him having some issue with a bumper sticker or something like that (obviously not a legitimate reason to drive unsafely or yell at people), or maybe like another commenter pointed out he was sensitive about his blindspot...I'm not sure what his issue is. I think this guy was in an overly sensitive or paranoid frame of mind.
I watched the video twice and I can't see anything wrong with the way you are driving. You gave him plenty of space, you moved over when he wanted to pass you. I can't tell if you are speeding up on him to pass, or if he is slowing down to give you the over the shoulder eye. Maybe, it isn't you. He could be having a bad day. Maybe he just got through watching an episode of Sons of Anarchy, or maybe he's one of those LMNOPQ bilkers and he wanted to smoke your pole in the restaurant parking lot. You never know. There are a lot of weirdos out there nowadays. Do you know the difference between a Kirby Vacuum and a Harley Davidson? The dirtbag that rides on the back.
You were in his blind spot and he got his feelings hurt. Break checking while riding a motorcycle is the most assine thing I've ever heard. One good love tap and he goes flying forward at the speed of light like a missile.
I picked up a Kimber 1911 TLE/RL II on consignment and will be trying it out for myself too. I didn't realize people were hating on Kimber like this. The wife and I just shot a Kimber DASA Combat K6S we bought and I thought the gun was/is great. We shot 38 and some 357 mag through it maybe 80 rounds in total and not a problem with anything. I guess I'll find out on the 1911, but I've always wanted one, so I hope everything ends up ok. Glad you're not having any issues.
Wow! After watching this video, I am now thoroughly convinced not to buy any of these third party inventions that are not well made to fit the M1A. Thanks for sharing!
The 19ll you have has an internal extractor. My S&W 1911 has an external extractor like most modern autos. I have the Springfield 9mm 1911 which does have the internal extractor and I celebrate when I get an entire magazine to cycle. It's not like they were made in Cliffwood or anything.
I have an original Mini-14 "A-Team" Model from 1983 and this one as well. I also have bought the .22 LR Version earlier this year. None of these leave the safe/display but I have two other Mini-14s that I shoot regularly. Both are the tactical versions but one has wooden furniture (Model 5889) and one has the black synthetic furniture (Model 5819.) Can't own too many Mini-14s.
So in my communist utopia California the pistol grip, folding stock, flash hider and 20 round mag make you a felon! But if we ever prevail in court, I’ll have one in a heartbeat.
Back in the '80's these were very inexpensive and very unreliable...mostly due to finicky magazine requirements. I like Ruger though, and I sure hope they've made this latest generation more reliable. How about a follow up video after a few thousand rounds to tell us how well the carbine works?
I had a new one that I paid way too much for recently and it's unreliable like the other three I've owned in the past. I want to like the mini 14 but when a 500 dollar AR is more reliable then..
@@keatonjorgensen8793 You don't buy one of these for it's reliability. You buy it to fulfill your childhood expectations of what being an adult would entail!
