i played along in 2010 unfortunately we didnt tune up 1st, fairport set it up for people to bring ukes along n play i tried mi kids telling me " dad it sounds terrible" played along for the last verse close to "in tune" bit of a fail tho dint see that many ukes on the field
I hadn't heard this song, my favorite Levellers song because it's so comforting, in years until a few days ago a friend in The Dead South group shared it along with some memories. Now I'm obsessed with Carry Me all over again. A great band (and so is The Dead South!).

This is a great song that also doubles as a history lesson of the ukulele. After finding the song in "The Daily Ukulele - The Leap Year Edition", I found it here. Being a uke newbie, I decided I could never play that many chords that fast. That was nearly a year ago, and I am proud to say I can play it now.

Oh really? I met him at a show a couple of years ago and we've kept in contact ever since. We just barely missed each other at the O2. Nice chap he is.
