Wait so the FXPAK doesn't do saves? I know it has a virtual cart battery save (in-game built-in saving, like zelda mario world etc) But to save an actual state and pop it back up for Genesis and NES all I do is hold down arrow and then start and a menu pops up with "Load state " and "save state" Is this not the case for FXPAK? What are the gamepad keystrokes to get it to save and load? I am really confused b/c this all looks PC based. Do I just have to make the folder and I am all set?
Hey, I went through the video and am having trouble with the savestate2snes file. I have it in the apps folder, but the exec file does not show savestate2snes as a client. Everything else is fine. Is there a way to contact you to maybe see what I'm doing wrong?
I figured it out, didnt know you needed to get the 7zip tool specifically for the savestate2snes. I thought you could use the source code zip file instead. Used the 7z and it worked like a charm.
Thanks for this video! I hate to ask such a dumb question and I'm not even sure if you'll see this, but when I click on the Savestate2Snes client in usb2snes... nothing happens. The computer thinks for a second, but no app ever opens. The other apps (Memory Viewer, Input Viewer, etc.) work great. Any ideas on what I might be missing?
So the only time Ive seen this happen was when I was trying to load non "pro" firmware/savestate stuff onto pro stuff. I assuming you are not doing that. I would probably reformat the card and Find every the newest updates and try and install them again. Sounds like I so make a new video for the Updates.
Do you by chance have a video showing how to make as many saves as you want and how to file them? It'd be awesome if you have a video showing how to do that. cause i know some speedrunners have as many as 1000 saves for CV4 alone!

Thanks a lot. Is it possible to load the saved game, then disconnect the cart while playing and connect it again only to save the game once you finished playing?
Did you ever get an answer? I did the tutorial and patched a loaded rom successfully but L+R+X never saved at all. Why can't this just be part of the flash cart?
