Hi! Just for an update, I completed my architecture degree this year, for everyone who feels like this course isn't for them, take the leap of faith and do what your heart tells you, life is not the same for all of us
This year I completed my first year of architecture and now I am leaving that and doing interior designing. i can totally relate to you why you take this decision.
Hello again di, Most if the people i see leave architecture either inbetween or at the end, which is one of the reason people call it a "low" kind of job..... I genuinly don't know what i should persue if not architecture as i am confused that what i am interested in other than that, its just really sad that architects are usually underpaid, not much respected and somehow something what u might get bored of... In this situation i am in a panick mode for sure, what do u think? Is there any scope for architecture and is it really worth the sleepless nights, the 5 years?
Remember if you end up doing 5 years of barch and then decide to branch out to do something else, its not wrong. when u will be in college u will realise how common it is. barch prepares you for a career in design and studying architecture and practising it is 2 diffn things. Switching fields wont make anyone a looser because u know urself best. Initially, yes architects are underpaid and they work quite a bit, its a harsh reality I am facing as a fresher but I knew this when I took the field and have been working constantly to diversify my income sources with what I learnt in college. Dont feel helpless, let me know if you have any queries. and if architecture is worth the work, I believe it is but for you the and might be diffn
@@neongirll_ i mean I do have to agree then doing house designing is a huge interest of mine, I just don't want to end up wasting hard work and years and getting underpaid... Switching fields is not bad actually but it's a Lil time consuming which is not really something I would want to do... But yeah I will not lose hope as I think passion is worth everything... Also best of luck for ur journey! Journalism is actually pretty good and need a creative mind which i see u for sure have!
@@neongirll_ no hate but I have heard that architect as a profession requires money and connection in the start. Btw I am so confused so please don't get offended 😭
@@VivekKumar-ec3vc No worries, I am not offended at all. I come from a middle class family and doing this course took a lot of convincing from my side. Cannot deny this course could be expensive because I know for sure I wouldn't have studied barch if the fees I paid was 2L or something. One needs to look out for options and be rest assured there always are. Regarding connections, that you will see it is very much there, as architects work on their goodwill and we are not allowed to advertise ourselves accd to COA. But the learning and grooming as an individual in these 5 years can be amazing. With the new education policy you can leave architecture later and still have a diploma.. try looking into that. I will tell you, Take the leap!
Engineers can do everything except engineering ❌ Architects can do everything except architecture ✅ Do whatever you like because next month my state architecture counselling today I attended for ranklist for engineering counselling just for fun .Life is just a diary and the author is us.But remember once written it can't be changed later.Anyways congrats👍
I am in my 12th standard right now and I am really confused to become an architect or not after reading many comments across many videos . 😢 Anyways best of luck for the near future didi 🙂
try analyzing ur situation, what is your dream career, what do u want to do in the future, does architecture fall in place or can u do something else like a Bdes or some other degree?

I am a student in 8th grade, i honestly got super interested into architecture and want to make a final decision to persue it! Your actually the one who motivated me to not give up on this dream... Thx 💖 And also what pros and cons are of bieng an architect? And is there anyway that we can get paid more as i heard that switzerland pays really nice to architects! @@neongirll_ I have seen this video! It was quite helpful but I am just stuck at one point , that is it really gonna be worth 5 years? Is there any chance u can get paid more like if u wanna pursue in foreign country?
Love you di ❤ I am a 1st year Arch student and I just love your effort & dedication, you are a true inspiration. CAN YOU PLEASE give me some tips that I should implement in my Arch Journey?❤❤
