It's non flammable for DOT because reaching the LEL outdoors is extremely unlikely. Indoors is another story.

What's a FID? What's a PID & IP? LEL UEL? F paper? Green light meter? How does it work? I have covalent bonds , so does bubble gum and TNT , but not thallium chloride, or tellurium bromide...(I got tellurium bromide and that's very toxic) Is it like an IR spectrometer?

Aniline DOES polymerize , you should correct that. It doesn't quickly like cyanoacrylate but slowly, almost like styrene.
@petevenuti7355
@petevenuti7355 8 месяцев назад
I'm glad to hear you guys are so grossly over cautious (you will understand why when you hear my questions) Aniline is not acid (alkaline, edit i see you discovered that looking under phenolamine) and it's not radioactive (normally unless it's made with carbon-14) Im a bit of a home chemist, my girlfriend rightfully gives me hell about unlabeled bottles(im getting better) Anyway, heres my questions; 1) can you make aniline from boiling Tylenol with drain opener? 2) How bad is fluoroaniline and perfluoroaniline? I'm told is worse then all other perfluorocarbons and worse then even fluorine itself! 3) in case of fire, or if i am dead , incapacitated, or otherwise just not available, I think I should have some kind of signage to alert emergency personnel for their safety! For instance I have a lot of benzoyl peroxide, not the acne cream, the pure white powder in small baggies for use as a polymerazation initiator, both for expements with copolymers with polyaniline as well as for with bondo when I loose that little tube fixing cars or holes in doors. The problem is it's a white powder and its an explosive organic peroxide, I'm told it could cause an explosion if it were to interact with a drug test kit and take some fingers off, and I don't know how I would convince an officer to not test a little bag of white powder or call the bomb squad‽‽ Also, I have Mercury, uranium, lithium cyanide , ether, HF, HCl , even some pathogens growing in Petri dishes with a bunch of UVC lighting for safety. etc, the lead and asbestos are the 'safe' things! *_what signage would you recommend_*

I read in an article that a Indian goldsmith wrote a letter about him tasting Potassium cyanide. Now it's pretty obvious that this was a very short letter, he said it tasted bitter and acrid of course it's bitter it contains Potassium not to mention the other the other Corrosive elements that this triple bonded atom contains symptoms such as headache, confusion dizziness, extreme Heart palpitations coma and death. If this poor man was extremely depressed and had family problems it's extremely sad but I think extremely silly to do it as an experiment uwasing yourself as a lab rat and I bet your family was absolutely devastated i know this because I've been there with a member of my family and considered it myself but if I do they they win, and there's not a chance in HELL THAT'S happening. I feel sorrow for the families loss

A particularly nasty production chemical. Vaporizes quickly and the gases become deadly in low amounts. Out of the hundred plus chemicals I work with we take extra care on this one. It's only moved through dedicated hard lines. The area is quarantined during unloading and everyone involved is fully suited with oxygen. In fact, we should have better evacuation plans in case of a tank wagon spill. They're lack luster and don't account for the public nearby.

Thank-you for educating not just Fire Stations, Police & EMS. As a home owner, wife, mother, & a husband who's a Motorcycle Mechanic & son who's a Vehicle Mechanic this is so educational. The company my husband works for has started selling E-bikes this year so I plan on showing him you're videos. My son is more educated with the use of these batteries such as those in Tesla yet I will show him you're video also. I think these batteries are the worst invention yet & so many people aren't aware of the hazards they pose. Thank you again for making this easy to understand for people everywhere. You're all Heroes choosing a Career that not everyone could do! Firefighters have to deal not just putting out fires & rescuing people but dealing with toxic drugs & now this highly flammable batteries that are everywhere. Stay safe! Ontario, 🇨🇦

In 1982 I spray painted numerous military vehicles without using any PPE at all. The paint contained TDI, HDI, Cr(VI), cobalt, xylene, VOCs (3.5 lbs./gal.), etc. I now have allergic conjunctivitis, nasal polyps & cysts, lung nodules, and bibasilar acteletasis (collapsed lower lungs). I plan to take blood testing for Isocyanate asthma, as my airway constricts whenever I’m around adhesives, perfumes, etc.

So if I got a gallon of tetraethyl orthosilicate a bbq propane tank and a medical oxygen tank in my personal vehicle that am not required to have any placards, how do I warn emergency responders if I'm unconscious? This isn't just a hypothetical, I've done that(and had rocket fuel, aniline and uranium acetate on top of the spare gas can the engine starter and the spare car battery.) This was 30 years ago, but I still have been know to drive with some dangerous things... I should have a warning that I know will be taken seriously...

The main things they didn't cover is what it's really made of. 3 ingredients for picric acid: Acetylsalicylic acid from asprin (or phenol), Nitric acid, and Sulfuric acid. What does this tell us right off the bat? Corrosive & possible nitrogen dioxide. Also tells us sodium hydroxide, or sodium bicarbonate will neutralize the corrosivness of these acids. There's no mercury & it's not radioactive, if it's dry there's no gas. Wet it down, wear gloves, and it's pretty safe to handle. It's not as volatile as people think but if it's converted with a salt nitrate making potassium/or lead picrite then its extremely sensitive to shock and heat.
@101jir
@101jir 2 года назад
I'm here from a game called Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnaughts. Apparently it was historically used in naval shells, so I imagine that sensitivity to shock and heat made it an accident waiting to happen. Then again that can be said of any ammo magazine at any time in history, since that's kindof the point. Though in game your chance of flash fires when you get hit go through the roof, which I would guess is probably a pretty accurate representation.

Meanwhile, everyone's dead while they muddled through their charts. HCN is HCN, if you're in this game and you know it's present, you should know what it is and how to deal with it quickly period. Sure, understand the environment and concentrations you're facing, but this endless chart checking seems time-wasting for such a common, well-understood and dangerous contaminant.
