What happens if i get out of the car but i want the music to keep playing? I often get our of the car for a quick task or errand and would like the music to keep playing. What if i'm parked with friends and relaxing and want the music to keep playing while we're outside having a drink?
This is a half implemented feature, and not really useful. Yes you have to have the control set to the left mirror, but you have to select that every time you get in, it's not remembered. This results in having to turn the mirror selector every time you go into reverse. Hardly a great way to implement this, never had to do that with any other car.
Does this remove the need to go through the CUPRA ID process at the Dealership? That is the only reason I haven't renewed CUPRA CONNECT after the trial ended. Didn't even get to try out the features during the trial as my V5C took nearly 8 weeks to arrive.
What “Cupra app?” Doesn’t exist. We’ve had our Born for over six months and still no sign of the promised app. Cupra staff have no idea when or if it will be released!

Cupra retailer solicitor said “your client is attempting to charge the Vehicle outside of peak hours for cost purposes, the Vehicle’s battery safeguarding technology protects the battery and charges at approximately 50% charge as the battery is not at the safe temperature.” I’m not clear if everyone knows this may mean (as in my case even in a closed integral garage) that 75/80% of home charges could be at only half 7kwh, ie just 3.5kwh. This is the full item they quoted: ** VWG test data for comparison purposes. Actual charging times will vary depending on e.g. options, age, type, condition and temperature of charger/battery, charger usage & environmental factors. Charging time will be longer in cold weather or if battery safeguarding technology is activated.”
I hear the infotainment display is a bag of crap....sliders with no lighting or hauptic feedback.... Whatever happened to good old buttons cupra....come ln....
Cupra Official website has a technical drop down page which sets out charging performance. For DC it should charge 5-80% in 35 minutes. Actually it took 50-55mins. Worse still it never even peaked at the rate it would need to average to achieve 35mins. The specification is not caveated. A courtesy Cupra did the same. I have detailed charge info but neither VW or retailer Listers solicitors have challenged the accuracy of the information. I have probably a lever arch of papers on the problems with this car which is similar to VW id3 issues. VW Cupra website doesn’t say that the battery safe mode will impact on AC charging performance. Rather it advertises cheap overnight charging and recommends Ohme and Octopus: I purchased both. If the AC charging depends on the battery safe mode then it should state that. It doesn’t. Indeed there is no explanation of battery safe mode and why/when and on what criteria it will be activated. So 75/80% of time it half charged overnight which means I could not get to work and back!

I got rid! It doesn’t meet the charging statements in the technical specifications for either AC or DC charging. No use for me as I bought it expecting to perform as per statements made by manufacturer
Problem is the charging performance is so poor we could never use Air Conditioning and had to rely on using clothes to sponge out water off glass. Both AC and DC charging fail to meet statements in official Cupra website technical data.
The stated performance is 5-80% in 35 minutes on a 58(62) battery. So 75% of 58 is 43.5 so in 35 minutes it needs to average 75kwh over that range. The best I’ve ever achieved was 72 on ionity once - all this has been scheduled out to Listers and VWs solicitors in detail and none of my figures have ever been challenged at all! Not anything. Not one charge, one number: nothing. It simply doesn’t perform ever at that stated level. In contrast my BMW i4 just hits the numbers ever single time
I’d have got more out of mine if it performed to the stated technical specification on charging but it doesn’t! Therefore it is frankly pretty useless for practical purposes
Trouble is the EV platform is VW and despite the stated charging speed figures, it doesn’t deliver those! When you complain they say it’s only a range (albeit it never gets in to the range!). My experience was DC charging 20-80% is more like 50-55 minutes not 35. AC charging about 80% of the time was only half charging due to some battery safe mode that apparently randomly cuts the charge so on a cheap overnight 6hr charge I was getting 20kw not 40! Big difference. I had mine for 4 months, it then spent 6 weeks in garage and I got a BM i4 instead which is brilliant and does exactly what it says on the can!!
A dog of a car in my experience- no wonder VW have problems. Doesn’t charge properly on ac or dc! Never hits specified figures in technical drop down on website and regularly half charged overnight apparently due to a battery safety issue!! Save up for an BM i4, superb
Now my Question after watching an interesting vid by a engineer who was quoting info from a proffessor who's expertise is in Battery technology was recommending to get the best life span on your Battery is to charge it after most journey's. This was based on the chemical degradation of the batter i.e. Ni/Cd not LFP! He recommends this because he said a certain reaction whilst charging overtime is what de-gregates the battery so only charging smaller portions helps reduce this! Now interestingly MG recommends that where possible keep the battery from dropping below 50% i.e. charge it so that it remains above 50% unless you are on a long journey, they say this helps the batterie longevity! So what is Cupr's take on all this?
Todavía no soy capaz de entender como un coche de 40k euros no trae altavoces en la parte trasera y lo peor no es eso, es que ni siquiera trae la instalación para ponerlos. Mi hija me grita qué no escucha la música atrás y cuando subo el volumen empiezan a vibrar las puertas como si fuera un seat 124. De verdad creo que no siendo cantidades enormes las que se han vendido cupra tendría que ofrecer una solución. Es patético, no tenerlo y no poder ni ponerlos.
I took ownership of an almost new V2 yesterday, and whilst I get to grips with it, could someone tell me if and where you can reset the trip meter to zero (on both infotainment screen and dashboard), plus is there anyway to turn the reading lights on, as I've spent most of the day trying to fathom this two things out to no avail!?
