I have questions. Was this a success? Is there significant increase in power and torque? Do you know how much? Is the reliability affected, I'm assuming the compression is higher too? And is there any issues with heat? Would you have any issues taking this build across the centre?
Hi ,no issues with heat or reliability. In hindsight I don’t believe the cam was necessary as it added more maintenance with valence clearance issues - I would have no hesitation in riding that bike anywhere .
@@linc341 I'm sure this is a throw away question. But what drop in HP/torque would you expect with the same build, and a standard cam? If I did a build like this id seriously consider the Wide ratio transmission too.
@@linc341 makes you wonder, doesnt it? i cant rebuild mine as someone chipped massive chunks out of the trochoid, and the rotor looks like someone dropped it on each and every corner. i wouldnt give a damn about throwing some weet bix box in there if i could! waaaaah. all i could do is scrap some of the casings, keep the rotor and housing. and then the guy hassles me for more of it as he just sold a complete one the week previously. 1500. to a leb. within half an hour. effing.
Hi there..nice video..i have the xf freewind same engine but mine have double carbs 32mm..im saving for all this kit but in carb section im not sure..any tips? thanks
Did you work at the Cairns hospital? I lived in Cairns 2020 and 2021 (now Perth) and would regularly ride by a bike very similar to this at hospital parked out on the Esplanade bike spaces?
Well done, great video and thanks for sharing. Half way through my build and just saw your design with the two sets of gloves….. I have done the same with the intention of being able to fit a “typical” bike frame in. Might do a small video on my RU-vid channel at some stage if you are interested. Cheers Paul. “Nuffys builds”
Good work on this build, I think you need to create a hopper for your media to flow back to your bucket bet you'll find it all piles up around the edges of the sink. I done similar and that was the only issue I had!
So no requirement to give the bottom end any attention given the CC increase? Any feedback back from anybody on the longevity of the motor with the big bore kit and big valve head etc under normal riding conditions (definition of normal being anything other than racing, like trail riding, adventure riding, work commuter) Tx
