I refuse to pay more than a tire for a shoe that gets pathetic 300-400 mi before throwing away...a waste of resources and a scam IMO. There is NO reason a shoe's sole could not last for a few 1000 mi as a tire lasts 30-80K mi and is under so much more load and speed! Think about it.....

For the Metaspeed Sky+, the folks at runrepeat measured the heel stack at 33.5mm and the forefoot stack at 30.8mm for a 2.7mm drop. Given the chonk in the forefoot, it ran like a negative drop shoe for me.

I've seriously considered the possibility of a negative drop on the Metapseed Sky.

When I started running, I was heel striking. It caused early wear on my shoes and put more stress on my joints. I changed to mid foot strike now and my shoes can last longer now. I have 350km on my DN2 and I believe I can push it to at least 600km before I retire them. I don’t think I will pick up the DN3 because I want somewhere around 6-8mm heel drop. My shoe rotation is DN2 and Adios pro 3.

My puma DN 2 was flat, 90kg forefoot striker.. Worst shoe ever for me.. Reckon puma looked after many reviewers and had input in the comments section in 2023.. Kobluzi said his best shoe 2023? 🤣😂🤣.. Different strokes for different folks I guess..

Hello. 🍁🤩KAMAL/64 years old Sorocaba/SP/BR🤩🍁 I'm in doubt between PUMA DEVIATE NITRO 2️⃣ or PUMA DEVIATE NITRO 3️⃣ To run 3 times a week. 2aF/16km 4aF/19km 6aF/21or24km. Pace 7.4 to 5.8 I run because I like it. To maintain health. I try to evolve and overcome my limits, not others. What's your suggestion between the two? THANK YOU for your kindness in responding. I wait

I got the Mach 6 after loving the 5 and I don't know. Something feels off. Maybe it's because it is a taller shoe. It feels a lot narrower and more unstable? My worn out 5s feel better despite me being slower in them. Can't quite put my finger on it.

If you are looking for a faster shoe, the DN3 is the one to pick. But I prefer the DN2 because it is lighter, cheaper, slightly more stable and accommodates slower speeds. The 8mm drop makes it easier for me to land mid foot for better cushioning. Used to heel strike and that was bad for many parts off my lower body.

Lower drop works your calves and Achilles more. It’s a universal challenge when you go from training in 8+ mm drop down to 4mm and under.

The weight of Mach 6 seems off. Hoka listed 8.2oz in their website, and runrepeat tested 8.2oz as well. Can't be lighter than Mach 5 with increased stack and true rubber outsole.

M and XL means very different things around the world, an American M can be Asian XL, but a Size 48 jacket is the same all across the globe. But I guess shoulders are easier to fit than feet.

I have both and onto my second Puma. I would highly recommend both. The only issue I have with the Puma is I always wear the outside of my heels on all of my running shoes. Despite the thick grippy rubber the edges wear out quicker than my other shoes. Not sure why but the Hoka seems to be wearing there more like my other shoes. Both Alphafly 1 and 2 last ages for me so it’s a pity there’s not many shoes like those that must keep me more on my mid foot
