Nelson's band here included Jay Rowe on keyboards. I was first introduced to the intense way Nelson covers this song when he did so at Jay's Smooth Jazz for Scholars in 2009.

Blows your mind that people “in the back,” *behind* the player, who can’t see his face or the signs announcing who he is… don’t recognize that it’s him? NAMM is a huge, loud, busy conference/show. Booths have to keep sound down to a certain level. You’re hearing a mic in front of the player. We have no idea what people behind him are hearing or if they’re also hearing stuff from the other neighboring booths.
I’ve always felt Patrice is one of the most underrated artists of our time…however, her fans and certainly fellow artists know she’s magnificent!🕶🥁🎶🎼🎵🎤🎹🎸🎭
