This is where I post my weekly pull list videos. New pull list videos go up Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Occasionally, I am able to do some other comic book related videos, movie reviews, and other content I feel is noteworthy.
This week's issue of Department of Truth was a nice surprise. Not sure if all the guest spots were previously announced, but I was taken aback. Especially that play on "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte."
Ay brother, love the videos, but would you consider getting a mic? If not a better mic? Everytime I watch a new vid the audio is always a bit garbled, would be great to upgrade soon! Thank you and enjoy the new books!
Thanks for the feedback and watching I have a mic that is just off camera, but it might not be working right. I'll try the mic on the phone and see how that is in the next video (9/18/24).
I may not be the biggest of Tom King fans but I have been enjoying Wonder Woman. Especially like the way Sampere draws Diana - she looks like an Amazon when compared to other characters!
I like John Timms art so I'm going to give Jason Aaron's Action run a shot. Got burned by Marvel this week. Didn't know that half of Giant-Size Spider-Man was going to be a reprint of an USM issue from years ago. If I would have known that, I would have left it on the shelf as $7 (pre-discount) is too much.
You really have to read those solicitations. 😉 Aaron's Batman: Off-World has been good, so I am looking forward as much as I can for his Superman stories. It is the Bizarro part that I'm meh on.
It really depends on what styles you prefer. I like the overall "house" style at DC, but some independent titles are killing it on art as well. Marvel hasn't been my cup of tea for art for some time. Mainly because there doesn't seem to be a solid "house" style for them, and artists can change on titles quickly there as well.
I am just in a constant state of behind in my reading. Before COVID I was pretty caught up with my comic book single issue reading. After COVID you think I would have had plenty of time, but I got busier and busier during COVID, and had less and less time to read. As it stands now I am about 3 and a half drawer boxes behind on my single issue reading. I tried getting some of that cut down with getting DC Infinite, but that has not yet helped out my back log of titles. Fingers crossed I can make a dent this summer.
Speaking of Fables, are those 15 volumes over *your* right shoulder the full run of Fables Deluxe Editions? I was laughing when you said you are 60 issues back on The Walking Dead. I am now 71 issues back on Detective. I had to ask Ryan to pull it from my pull list.
The main cover for Flash is normally a solid cover. I used to get the variant, but stopped since it was getting to be a little much with all of the variants, and they weren't always the best.
Hi, wondering if u have stopped reading Valiant? I stopped 2 years back as yhe stories went down hill and boring 😴. Lately been wondering if Valiant has got any better and I can get back so was wondering if u had kept us with any of Valiant titles? Cheers 🍻
Thank you for showing how it looks back in the box because I’m moving. I took one last chance on you because the two others you didn’t and said what am I gonna do now? This guy is the only one that unboxed and showed how it looked in the styrofoam!
Nice pull list. I picked up Batman the Detective #5, The Death of Doctor Strange #1, Fantastic Four #36, Nightwing #84 & Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #4.
It was. Got to get away for the weekend. Checked out some comic shops and bookstores while I was away to, and I bet you know where that can lead. :) Hope all is well with you.
Hi , I've stopped reading Valiant as the writing quality has gone down hill , read XO and Bloodshot and both I found were nowhere as enjoyable as before. This has made me hesitate to jump on Shadowman or another titles they might dish out. Can u let us know how their other titles turn out , if as bad as XO and Bloodshot then I'm done, time to move on, DC is on 🔥 Cheers 🍻
Valiant has been lacking in quality. X-O Manowar comes out so infrequently I've forgotten the story from issue to issue. It is just OK not as good as the previous runs for sure. Bloodshot is hard to read, but I have stuck with it. Shadowman is enjoyable. Not top notch, but better than OK for me. Ninjak is not good at all right now.
Happy belated Birthday. Nice pull list. I picked up Batman Catwoman #6, Kang the Conqueror #1, Nightwing #83, Sinister War #3 & Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #3.
