Hey just had couple questions as I am running a jb4 and just got xhp. Did u disconnect the jb4 obd and left the xhp obd in? Does disconnecting the jb4 obd still let u use the app. Would b helpful if u tell me how it works thanks
@@jaiboughan7154 once xHP is installed you can remove the adapter and reconnect the jb4, the jb4 needs to be connected to obd or defaults to map 1 I believe
Nice wins. Man, I would have loved to see the other cars dropping back as you pulled on them. Got a glimpse in the mirror on a couple, but left me wanting more.
How do you flash XHP to a g80? Do you need an unlocked DME? Trying to figure out how to install it but there is more people arguing about whether its good or bad vs actual install guides.
i sold my 21 Plaid awhile ago and never had a chance to do a Racemotive race i tried once @ NJMP but got rejected. Did a lot of Atco racing (before they closed!) and was consistent 9.3s @ 149 everytime. Plaid is now the best bang for the buck bar none so i'm on a hunt for great deal aside from my two P cars.
Awesome video. Just like everyone else was on the fence about JB4. I literally have the same background in cars as you. Came from the boosted V8 world also, so I know exactly what you are talking about. I joined the Facebook group and looking forward to talking with you.
Thanks for the video. I think that rear needs to be lowered just a bit more - like you said. Would have been cool to watch you make the adjustment on the rear.
Yoo what's good Eric this is Kenneth with the white tesla nice job you made that look easy I just might upgrade to the n2itive arms oh and I just subscribed 👍🏾
Sometimes the TC will cutoff power without sipping because it it very fast making corrections so you wouldn’t notice Stock I did 9.39@149 and recently 9.28@151 without passenger and rear seat on PS 4S Try to “spin” a little the tires before going into the pre stage
I’m honestly in a very similar situation to you: I had a JB4 on my 330i and didn’t really like it because I wouldn’t feel that big of an increase and the gas here (CA) is shitty 91 and even with E mixes, I could never get the logs to look perfect like so many others with 93 and E mixes, which left me very frustrated. Now I have a G87 and am once again considering the JB4 option, I don’t want to go too crazy on the power, I think map 2 would be more than enough for me. I’m just wondering if you think the logs will be wonky using an E30 ish mix with 91 octane because if it is, I might just pass on tuning until flash tunes become more accessible for post 2021 cars.
@@elgapitancan you upload a video of your map 6 because I just used map 5 and it feels good but I want to increase the hp, my car is a 2021 manual m4
Unfortunately I never did get to dyno this final setup but on the previous setup before this it made 750/750 on a dyno jet on e30 with less meth in 90° weather
JB4 is cool, but if you want the downpipes to properly work with spacers or no spacers, a proper flash tune is required, no if and buts about it...The Jb4 can only trick the ECU so far. Go ahead and send that ECU to Finland
@@elgapitan i originally had xhp stage 2 on and installed jb4 map 2, first launch went well, second launch threw me in neutral and third launch was buffing on power (traction off) and id get a code for my sunroof open…
I was all in in getting the JB4 but i heard BMW can still see the changes and will still void warranty :( i just bought my 2024 m4 competition xdrive 4 weeks ago.
@@elgapitan this is better than no results at all haha. I now currentlyhave a jb4 custom map too on my g80 RWD. Really contemplating on DP upgrade but many says DP only works well (huge HP increase) with ECU reflash. I am hoping youre gonna show some good results! 😁
Awesome video with some really valid points regarding daily driving. Love your takes. I plan to daily my Xdrive G80 when I get mine in NYC in November. Can't wait
