I watched Joe play and smoke his cigars in an empty club in LA... for 2 nights at 17 yrs old and ... it was awesome. Very nice, man it was awesome. Thanks again, Joe, for those 2 nights 😮
The problem is Joe Pass improvised all of this. That’s the genius. Copying improvised works is counterfeit. Learning technique by copying and parroting is fine, but you’re not remotely a jazz musician if you are not improvising this stuff using your own mind. And 1 in millions can do it like a Joe Pass or a Wes Montgomery or even a Pat Metheny.
Great job man! Not easy to put this one together, transcriptions are usually unnacurate. I did a Virtuoso cover a while ago too. I'll leave the link here if you'd like to check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WCJ6f7GC06o.html
Brilliant, so smooth. I play the high f on the F7 at 2:13 on the first fret but playing on the b string at the 6th fret does sound better (and is harder) great stuff
