I just saw Marty play this solo a few weeks ago here in Florida, and was thinking - holy shit! I’m watching Marty Friedman play the solo from Tornado of Souls live!!! 👍✌️💪
I love Marty and I know he said he is open to whatever in next for him and Megadeth. That being said, Kiko is the lead guitarist in Megadeth (he's no slouch). Now, if we are talking about bringing in Marty to play some stuff on an album, and he's trading off solos with Kiko, that would be the ultimate. Marty is at the point in his life where he doesn't mind talking about Megadeth again. For years he was very much standoffish to it and wanted to leave that behind. Even just 12 years ago when Dave asked that he come back to do the RIP tour, there was an issue with how much he'd get paid for it. He looked at it like a gig. Now, he sees the value in his time with Megadeth and how it change the trajectory of his career. He is at the status he's at because of Megadeth, otherwise he would have remained relatively unknown. I hope he does stuff with the band in the future, but I'm also o.k. with cherishing this memory and leaving it at that. The current line-up is the best its been since RIP. They are tight and the musicianship is off the charts. Adding Marty to the mix on an album would probably bring a lot of fans back to Megadeth. You can tell Dave knows what Marty brought to Megadeth. A legitimacy. Marty was an integral part of what makes RIP a masterpiece and he quite possibly composed the greatest metal solo of all time.
@@FKCENSORSHIP 1990, 1991, 1994 and a few other times. Haven't really cared since Marty left. I have no idea how 2 people got upset by me saying this though as it's literally just me complimenting Dave for giving center stage to a guy that isn't even in the band anymore.
Actually he was asked about it and said that he wouldn't have relevant stuff to do in megadeth because the new albubm dystopia. I think he won't come back, furthermore kiko's business side more developed than Marty as Dave's already said before.
