I haven’t watched your videos since I meet my guy, and that was more than 5 years ago. Was listening to you talk in this video and as soon as you said he doesn’t want to marry a mother and he might want to go and find another woman who will make him feel like a man.. Ever since I was eight years old I have always been attracted to older women. They have everything going for them. They know what they want, are very affectionate, loving and caring. They are experienced wise and intelligent. And last but not least my favorite part is no drama. The young ones are the exact opposite.
This is soooo helpful, I can't wait to try this. My bf, who is always super sweet to me, tends to freak out about little things and it lights up my nervous system to the point I don't even want to involve him in helping with things when im around. Edit: I usually act like the parent saying stuff like "calm down it's ok" etc.

@@AdrienneEverheart Thank you so much! I actually gave it a shot yesterday when he was trying to fix the dishwasher and was really angry. NGL I started out my usual way saying "It's ok, just call someone to fix it" he continued his tantrum and I just stood there listening then quietly walked away. A few minutes later he came to find me. He seemed kind of apologetic and said "You know I'm not yelling at you right?" ...a step in the right direction maybe....
Absolutely not. Any person who stonewalls or threatens abandonment has deep personality issues that make them unfit for being in relationship. Any kind of "teacher" attention reinforces this craziness. Ignore him until he gets out of it himself and set boundaries that this is a one time event or it's OVER. And get an apology.
This is great adult response! Sometimes men say things that aren’t threats but temporary victim mindsets. This can work in many ways, being a mom and wife and how I communicate with my ex husband to co- parent. Also this is important to think about but if you raise your children being the “ Adult” most the time they will parent themselves that way being the adult. We treat ourselves the way our parents treated us so it’s a chance reaction. They won’t grow up being the wounded child or even the critical parent. They will see and be in “Adult” more often. Raise more strong resilient kids. This is such a good video Thank you ❤
I have found that silence is really what works. I just go silent and it seems to be better than anything else I’ve ever done. He is a really loud person when he gets agitated and I didn’t grow up with shouting and it truly upsets me. I have reminded him in the past to please not shout at me but that never made a difference. Now I have said “I can hear you, please don’t shout”! Then he will stonewall and go silent 🤷🏻♀️

Thank you Adrienne 🩷 One thing I would like to mention: if the husband or boyfriend has Asperger’s (ASD level 1, often undiagnosed and not recognized), he might go into a “shut-down” for a few days after an argument. That is different than pouting. The best thing you can do is to leave him alone and just assure him that you still love him. It’s not an easy thing to do, but they can’t communicate during that time.
My main point is, he is still an adult and a man. I also believe as with any man he wants to be spoken to in Adult, not Parent voice. I’m curious if with your new insights will he shut down “less” and please also consider working with a therapist specifically trained in Aspergers. ❤
@@AdrienneEverheart , yes, I agree! And what you explained, about not being parental with a man, applies to men with ASD also. It is most important advice, because it helps to avoid shutdowns, which should be the goal. My partner didn’t have a shutdown for about a year now.
Well a narcissistic man and an emotional broken man are not the same. A narcissistic man is what you are commenting on, while an emotionally broken man just does not care anymore. He will tell you upfront who he is and where he wants a relationship to go, cause he does not want to waste his time. Men that are emotionally broken really do not care anymore for serious relationships. They are tired of putting in effort and getting hurt. A narcissistic man has no heart nor emotions to break. Narcissistic people know what they are doing, to people when they manipulate someone.

If the young man admired don’t feel insecure and respect you as a mature woman everything is going to be perfect and also looves to go out with the mature woman everything will be awesome. Hopefully they are different
This recent older guy said he had no trauma. I slowly learn his two children with two baby mammas, he doesn’t and didn’t assert to raise or be close. To want children now and be aware of that longing on your end and not have repaired with current children was a red flag for emotional brokenness. I really feel for those kids
Adrianne, my boyfriend went to liverpool for an english course, and we started to argue cause i wanted more communication, after one argue i break him up cause i was so upset, and after few days i regret and wanted to fix things. He said that it was better, being apart…This broke my heart😢😢 i said what u advise, accepted his no. Im hurt right now, i really want to heal. I only can pray to heal our relationship.
I’m 66 and my BF is 45…this is the first time I’ve dated a man this much younger than I am. I’ve always considered a 55 year old man a “younger man”. I realize now I’ve been missing out. We have a great relationship…it’s very relaxed and the physical aspect is off the charts.
I've found this all to be true until they are too young, then they can't really exert a dominance from a life experience level... I just recall this one guy that felt he "knew so much" ... which was a huge turn off. But I met someone younger and he actually was ten times more masculine and naturally humble. He was secure enough to ask me certain things but loved that he could bring out my submissive feminine.Sadly our schedules didn't work but i will never forget that it is totally possible and was the most incredible energy I've ever experienced! ❤

I usually just say my ideal type is a man with patience and self control first date. That way he knows I’m not putting out until I’m ready 😂 Another is I gave him pay for the first two dates & the third date I take control to reassure him I’m interested and I want him too. But I’m controlling the date pace so when the dates over I end it and go home. He don’t have a chance to make plans. We can have a picnic in public so there is no way we’re doing anything. After when he takes me back home I say goodbye cause obviously I’m not doing anything after being outside all day 😅
Most men are definitely entitled and I can completely understand why many women just stop trying with them. It’s exhausting. We have better things to do

My inner girl loves to fly a kite and swing on the swings, thankfully my apartment complex has a swing set, YAY, playing Uno card game by myself, and I like to dance.
I absolutely do the less is more and I am very happy not to have a bunch of stuff in my apartment. I only buy books for bible study & I borrow books from the public library. I never buy stuff unless I will use it, same with clothing I have a color plate (Blue in all colors is my number one, then there is red & pink) and I only buy clothes that can go with every thing I own. I wear a uniform for my two jobs, and to help keep my vintage 1940s-1960s style up I do my vintage Marilyn Monroe hairdo every day and when I cannot I still do my hair in a 1940s lady pomp with a low ponytail secured with a hair clip, and I wear a light touch of make up or I will just wear lipstick in pink or red.
What?! I can't be very smart and witty around a guy? I'm naturally intelligent, am I supposed to pretend I'm not? How is that being masculine?! Also I'm not a vulnerable person. Like I'm literally not vulnerable, I'm not weak, I'm not people's pleaser, and yet I'm very feminine. How can I be vulnerable when I'm not vulnerable? I'm absolutely full filed within myself, I'm in love with myself, I'm whole.
