absolutely beautiful mate 🙂 she's already better behaved than Dexter! When I'm out with him alone, I've got one of those really strong carabiner clips attached to the shoulder strap of my camera bag, and secure Dexter's lead to that. This keeps both hands free and he can have a walk and sniff about while I'm taking pictures.
Such an inquisitive and beautiful girl, I think you may have a lot of hard but very rewarding work in front of you. Looking forward to seeing your progress with Rosie and the good times you both have ahead of you. Thanks for sharing.
I like the verticals better than the horizontals. The first horizontal has that white house on the left and it just grabs the eye. Your eyes are always drawn to the brightest area first
Hello there, hope your well, as I was putting the video together I thought the house was too bright against the hill and was going to clone it out of the images as it stands out like a saw thumb but thought it is part of the scene so left it in, would you have took it out?
Both great scenes but I've always been a sucker for a nice portrait landscape. It gives more of a lead in to the gate and the beach. But it's horses for courses and that's what make photography great. It's your image and it's up to you. Take care, still waiting to see the new pup!
Hello there and many thanks, I love both images, but then I love the location so for me anything is lovely, yes I will be doing a video of Rosie shortly so you haven't got long to wait, her next jab is next week so will be out after that
as you were walking to the bay i was praying there'd be no black belt of doom but it appeared as always mate 😞 the image of the gate is a belter though Steve. were you tempted to shoot the house behind you before the sun set?
Hiya Nick how are you mate? Yes when I saw the sky I was really tempted to get that house but stuck to my guns. Can you believe my luck with sunsets. 🤣🤣
Hi Steve I've never been wound love to go I'm only in Shrewsbury,do you have postcode wheres best to park and where to go , camera setup big help ,I would be going on Wednesdays my day off you mentioned scanner ,it tells you what's coming what scanner do you use ,do you have any videos of it please 👌
Hello there, I don't have post codes as your in the middle of countryside, camera settings depend on the light on the day but shoot shutter priority @ 500th - 100th f5. 6 - f8 and auto iso and you'll be fine, I use the uniden 3500xlt scanner but the 125 is also good
As always great pics, beautiful location, my favourite is the first image, love the golds / oranges in the sky. Hope your new girl is settling in okay.
Hello there and many thanks, yes she's doing great, well apart from chewing my toes to death, just waiting for her 2nd injection, next week, and she'll be out with me 👍👍
Absolutely great shots and thank you so much for the tips on where to go. I am fairly new to this, now been 4 times to the Mach Loop and would like to visit all the locations. That's of course if I can get up them!!!! 🤣
Steve mate, the way you ascended those rocks at 1:15 was gazelle-like ;-) what a fantastic location with those rocks. would love to be there on a stormy day with crashing waves. with that detail, the rocks look like living creatures! looking forward to meeting Rosie 🙂
Hiya Nick parts of the rocks were grippy then the next rock you'd slide on it, proper dodgy, the location is stunning, especially at low tide, I'm gonna introduce Rosie very soon 😁😁
I also really liked the monochrome images. Not usually a big fan of the long exposure image as I think they are so over done but these were rather nice.must be mellowing in my old age, 72. Looking forward to seeing the new pup
What a location, great images, I agree with your comments re the angled outcrop image. Definitely spoilt for choice with all the potential image opportunities. Looking forward to seeing your new best friend (Rosie).
Morning Steve Hope you enjoyed your trip to Mull, will look forward to your videos Looking forward to seeing your new puppy, Betsy will definitely approve as life without a dog is so hard. Have a great week ❤
Hello lovelies Mull was great, you should pay a visit, it has so much. I'm gonna catch up on your videos now, I can't go out for a couple weeks until Rosie has had her injections. Hope your all well. ❤️
@onemanandhisdogphotoadvent1242 we definitely need to visit Mull again. We only went for the day 3 years ago. Looking forward to seeing Rosie on your videos x
Morning Steve Good to see you're getting out. Some fabulous shots as always Sorry we're only just watching, we are catching up on all the recent uploads whilst we have been away on our summer adventures 😊 ❤
Great shooting, love all the shots, especially the second one. Super chill atmosphere and attitude. It would be fun to meet and shoot with you, but a major undertaking as I live in the USA. Maybe some day. Keep up the great work!
Like your photographs Steve. I love the one with the leading lines on the path so much information instilled within it. Here’s to the next fortnight not being too long for you Sir. We all miss your beautiful Betsy, but I personally couldn’t live without my dog I am seventy now and over the years the wife and I have had four dogs 🐕. Something that they give us money could never buy. Can’t wait to see your new puppy Steve it won’t be long. Stay safe Sir. Tom 👍.
You have trouble with the noisy Crows and we have trouble with noisy Gulls! but there are fewer this year I think there has been a secret cull! The crop looks quite good! but personally I like a full image I hate wasting anything, so it would be a darker foreground with corners burnt in and a sort of brighter pathway leading into the picture and if that did not work I would have certainly moved in closer to the tree's, which I am sure you have done at some time! Have a nice time in Scotland and don't eat to much haggis, a minute on the lips a lifetime on the hips! Take care....
yes - the woodland season is nearly here. love that first heather shot - shame the bee wouldn't cooperate! on the crop I think either would work (no help at all as usual!). the cropped shot is more focused, but un-cropped gives it a sense of place. maybe a 16x10 to give it a sense of both? can't wait to meet the new puppy :-) stress city here with Dexter - he has a tooth abscess so is on anti-biotics for at least a week and will likely need some dental work but that would be under a general anaesthetic hence the worry 😞
Hiya Nick sorry to hear about Dexter, Betsy had to have quite a few teeth out, fingers crossed everything goes OK for him, yes puppy next weekend, I can't wait now
Best thing you can do mate. When we lost our Spaniel "Ben" in 2017 we went straight out and got two more. Still miss the old feller, but these two are great characters as well. Looking forward to seeing the new addition.
Steve I am so sorry to hear about Betsy, and what a beautiful dog she was the two of you were a great double act on your channel. Couple of years ago I was heartbroken at the loss of our beloved Golden Retriever who suffered severly 0f epilepsy from the age of his 5 th birthday but it was so severe we were left with no choice but to have him put to sleep for his own good. We did get another Golden Retriever he is two years old and his name is Enzo. I can’t do without him now nor can my wife. I am sure that your new puppy will creep herself into your heart. I don’t comment a lot on your videos but always leave you a thumbs up on your great photos. All the best buddy Tom.
Hi steve , nice to see you yesterday 😮 totally unexpected 😮 thank u for spending time with us and for the many tips u gave me 👍 can't wait to see the new puppy 😊 have a lovely time in Scotland look forward to Yr pictures 👍🙂
