So just to be clear…My 29 inch travel case CAN go in the over head bin? Also can I have a regular carry on and my rod be my personal luggage? I just want all my stuff on the plane 😂 HELP! Next trip is in 2 weeks!!
Snuff cans work well, or the zyn cans. Same concept as pucks, foam is optional. Some are straight flies others are extra leaders in the bottom, few split shots, small piece of foam on top with couple flies. Works well for "that's a nice creek" while out shoeing horses.
Would love some more details about depth you were fishing and your rig. 12ft of 4x, but full sinking line? Or just sinking tip? And 5wt? 6wt? This looked like a ton of fun, picky fish aside.
This is exactly why I’m against trying to get more people fishing or hunting. I remember when I was a kid hunters and fishermen were looked at as rednecks and people didn’t want to fall into that category but you tube ruined them both.
Love Stillwater fishing on my kayak, but not huge lakes. Something very satisfying about stripping line all the way back to the boat and watch a trout come up out of the weeds to absolutely smash that wooly bugger.
When I was a kid, we used to fish where the river comes into that reservoir and just had a incredible time, yes if there ever was a lake, I would go fish that would be it. Thanks for the memories.
Looks like fun! Great video! Always curious tho, the trout guys put a lot of effort into how they hold the fish. Being gentle. But SO sensitive to it that it very often backfires and gets dropped and sometimes this sorta winds up being more risky than the risk of just getting a solid grip to begin with! I think there’s a middle ground there. Hopefully that made sense! Lol
Hold fish over water and it's a non issue. Squeezing and risking damaging internal organs isn't worth a better picture. Also, filming like this instead of taking photos gives you a better chance at a picture you like with the stills.
@@Hrogthar all those tail organs eh! Gotta be sure they don’t get crushed. Nah I’m kidding sorta but like I say there’s probably a middle ground. I’ve seen more dropped from that trout way than any damage from a more protective hold.
This is the problem with still water fishing: It's either phenomenal or lousy. Lakes and ponds are just too tempermental. It seems like it's a day to day thing. One day it's hot, the next day it's cold. That being said, right now, one of our local impoundments is producing at a consistently phenomenal rate almost every day. The off days have been simply great vs outstanding. One day it'll shut down, but until then..........
