Hey @topkartusa on my rig, at about 90% seems to hit a stop but if I press harder it'll go the rest of the 10%. That last percent will lock up the rear. If that normal?
I'm trying to disassemble the Rear bumper off of a Kosmic Kart and can't get the Rubber bushings out of frame tubes, do you or anyone have any ideas on how to remove them?
What controller are you using? How many RPMs are you spinning? I have a ME1507 powered kart with Curtis 1236SE Controller but won't spin over 4000 rpm. Just seeing if there's a better controller system for the ME1507. Thanks in advance. -Larry
What ever happened to this? I thought it was supposed to release in late 2019. I hope it wasn't scrapped - this is really cool. This motor technology could be used on many vehicles besides karts as well - dirt bikes, mini buggies, quads, etc. 85 ft-lbs would be awesome off road or on the track, especially when considering even modern 450cc 4-strokes struggle to push out more than 30 ft-lbs. EDIT: Just saw your other reply. Good to know you're still in development. Looking forward to seeing the result!
Thanks for your continued interest in our project and yes we are still working on getting a true fit and finish piece that can put into production. Lots of pieces to perfect and we want to have it right when we are ready to push it to the market and make a positive push for EV racing in the United States and even around the world. We look to update you soon with further progress on the package as we are in the midst of working on a larger battery pack for increased longevity.
We are currently working on some newer battery technology that will allow the kart to run for longer and a little bit lighter weight. We hope to soon continue with our testing on it as we will be one step closer to market the final product. Thank you for your interest in the electric kart package and following the status! We are excited to make this step in motorsports history with this new and extremely fast product!
This is awesome. This is how EV powertrains will truly take off in karting; by selling to the local, hobbyist, weekend warrior racer. I would love to try driving one of these. I just hope it will be competitive cost wise.
Hi, I recently purchased a TopKart and am having trouble mounting the seat. I have seen a diagram labeled TopKart and the position calls to be the same as my other chassis, however I can not get the TopBack/axle measurement. The factory seat mounts hit up into the folded lip around my rib area and that is as far back as I can lean the seat. The spec I saw calls for 190-195mm(about 7.5in) and the closest I can get is 220mm(about 8 3/4in) Is the front of the seat supposed to be real high? I have the height set to 3 1/2in from the seat to the bottom of the frame rail at the spot where the front bolts go through. I sent an email through topkart website and no one has responded.
