It's too many great Chicago Highschool ballers to have a top ten list in my opinion as a former Chicago Southside native. It should have been the greatest Chicago Highschool Basketball players.
A blog post a year after the divorce with no evidence, no charges, no police investigation costs a man his career and multiple millions of dollars , And we ask, is this okay? To paraphrase the great Marcellus Wallace, it’s pretty effing far from okay. We live in a society that destroys men at the word of a woman who hates him. No evidence needed.

Yes, Simeon, CVS, And King. E. Winters was the best center in the city and DePaul TC. Chicago high school basketball #1. Thomas loved that Harold's chicken too.
we're in an age where you're guilty until proven innocent...and even if you prove you innocence you're still treated as if you're guilty. trevor bauer is the next victim of this. he's completely cleared of any wrong doing but nobody will touch him just from the accusations, just like addison. it's hard to comment tho..we don't know sh
The Cubs should have dumped Russell by trade our outright release soon after it became public. Having him around or nearby anyway puts fellow players in an untenable position at home with wives. You have your basic loyalty to your teammate, perhaps are quite friendly with him even if not a friend and then you have to negotiate all the opinions and feelings and it disrupts team chemistry. The Russell thing tilted the table against the Cubs.
This is true. Jonathan Kovler and Rod Thorn were the ones who drafted MJ. The thing was that Kovler didnt have a large share of equity in the franchise, but he called the shots as was mentioned. He was the managing partner and head of all baskeball operations. How the ownership was structured during those years was highly confusing. The team before MJ was in disarray. Good players with potential, but marred by drug abuse. Once Reindorf bought out many of the owners, Kovler got phased out plus the fact Jerry Krause was brought in as the new man to run the basketball operations. Kovler was bitter for years because of it. That's why he decided to just sell his shares and say the heck with it. Jerry Krause is the one who cleaned up the drug induced dysfunction and got MJ the supporting cast he needed. But Kovler and Thorn were the ones who kicked it off with drafting Jordan.
@@ChicagoStud That is why it's important to know the true history of things. At one time the Bulls were so bad before MJ that even the previous owners considered them a bad investment. You pointed out they only averaged a few thousand fans per game. It's just that Reinsdorf and his associates came in at the right time and benefited from it. Jerry Krause deserves a ton of credit for getting MJ the help he needed, no question. But without MJ being drafted by the previous regime, would the Bulls have even one title until this day?
I remember see and hearing about this kid who attended King high school. King was "KING" in Chicago high school basketball. Very unfortunate that his mental illness was not address long before he reached the NBA. Stay Chicago strong Leon Smith.
