Oh, another flower-smasher!!! I bought a rubber mallet just for that years ago and finally did gather flowers to see what would happen. I didn't do as much smashing as I realized that running them through my Big Shot was faster! That was fascinating! I loved that I could get a very different look, depending on which side of the flower it ended up on. I did use whole flowers and finally realized that it depends on how you put the flower through the Big Shot (BS). The bulk of the flower had to be at the top when inserting it into the BS, so the juice of the flower would continue down the page as I cranked it down. The mess of doing the bulk at the end was to be avoided. Tried several papers, watercolor seemed to work best. I live down-river from you, in PDX. It is just the time to get out the tools! The iris are gone although my only experience with iris juice was years ago - a bouquet got forgotten on a white-painted cabinet. They splashed purple which faded to pink. I could NOT scrub it off but a few months later, it had disappeared altogether. It reminded me how fugitive paints that are pinks and purples have been so fugitive that they actually used to sell one watercolor to use for sketching because it would disappear.

You used a lot of great, unique techniques. I loved playing with your watercolor illustrations to create this digital. I am having so much fun watching you create with them. Yay! A puppy story is coming. ❤ Your fur babies are sooooo cute!
You are so organized! I wish that I was that organized. I am working to organize my crafts and other spaces in my home, but it is a slow process. I need more shelves. I definitely would be interested in a video on the rust ink and any other inks you make. The gilding wax and the silver tips are gorgeous. The gears in my mind are working to figure how I can use those in the crafts I do. Your crafting is an inspiration!
So So pretty!! What a wonderful idea! I never would have thought to use a glue gun. It would make those pieces much more durable and less prone to breaking. I may have to break out my molds and give this a try. Thank you for sharing!💕
That was so fun, Patti! Sounds like an adventure I'd want to go on.🤩 I don't use a planner. But, your book is lovely, and the cover is beautiful!💖 I hope you have some videos on how you make your molded pieces. I have used the "latex?" caulk before. But only for thin "laces" & butterflies, never anything much thicker. All the grungy, metallic tones are just awesome! Ty so much for sharing. 💙💙💙
