I like Adam Lambert and he's really good with Queen, but I do wonder if Tom Chaplin wasn't committed to the band Keane if he'd have been the first candidate. Vocally, he's a dead ringer - though he lacks Lambert and Mercury's flamboyance and stage persona 🤔
I've heard Tom singing live with Keane many times and he never once falters. Freddie on the other hand did occasionally fail to hit the notes or otherwise struggled. However, Freddie on stage has every other rock front man beaten to fits !
