@@cheesydip4009 because we had just finished drilling the hole! I was quite eager to get them to come and build the fence however, those holes are very very scary
It’s made for a pumped storage hydroelectric power plant where a lake is emptied during the day when the electricity cost is higher, and then the water is pumped back in to the lake during the night when the electricity is cheaper, the difference makes the profit! This 450 meter deep hole is the connection between the lake and the power plant / pump at the bottom.
We made it! Usually you can find holes like this near mines, road and rail tunnels, and hydroelectric power plants. And of course top secret government stuff.
