El Rosario to Guerrero Negro used to be the longest stretch without gas on the Baja road.....Sometimes there was gas at Catavina. Mama Espinoza's is a great stop.

My family had a beach shack 30 miles south of San Felipe on the old dirt road. It was 100 times more remote in the 70s You were on your own.

Puertocitos used to be the end of the line, unless you had a Serious 4x4. Subarus get broken quick in Baja.

Baja is paradise for surfers and motorcycles. I saw it all in the 70s from the back seat of our Peugeot Diesel.

Here I sit, on my 15 minute break from work, watching everyone else do cool stuff. Not fair! Ha ha, looks awesome!

The place sure looks a lot different since the days I used to play there!
