Sounds like a song you would hear being used in an Iraq War (the 2003 one) montage. Although, since the band is Irish, it can also be used for a montage on 'The Troubles'.
I much prefer the dress she wears here to the one from Concrete Sky, it makes her look less skinny and better suits her body type IMO. She has an attractive wasp-like figure!
Jeez I miss cherry ghost. They were backing the magic numbers at the Apollo in Manchester. We got delayed and watched them walk off stage! Never saw them live, still listen to all their wonderful music
Thanks for all this time I could spend with your music while I was at rock bottom. Those tracks filled my time, they gave me something comforting. Now I am better. But your music stays with me. Thanks Mark.
[Verse 1] One night You came on over to me Late night We shared a drink or three Night night I read a proverb to you That night She left a room with a view [Chorus 1] Take all the time Time that you want to Make up your mind Mind how you go Take me in time Time to the music Take me away to the twilight zone [Verse 2] Last night We stayed up late in a dream My oh my We read a play with no theme Lifetime In which our love pursues My time In which I spend with you [Chorus 2] Now I know the lonely days are gone Don't you know that I can see Like a summer day that's always long We repel the wet of tears As the shadows lighten up the day Through the cons we laugh away Like a windy day that's always wrong We take shelter where we can [Bridge] Last night I came on over to you My oh my We played a song or two Lifetime I read a poem aloud My time I wrote a song for thee [Chorus 2] Now I know the lonely days are gone Don't you know that I can see Like a summer day that's always long We repel the wet of tears As the shadows lighten up the day Through the cons we laugh away Like a windy day that's always wrong We take shelter where we can
Played by James Holroyd at The Chemical Brothers Royal Albert Hall 2024. I’ve been shazzaming for a week with no luck. Someone on the CB Reddit ID’d it for me. Sad about mr Weatherall. Used to love his mixes and it makes total sense now how when this was played in the RAH it entirely set the tone for the night that was about be bestowed upon us. Imagine, the lights out, big bright red moving heads, the royal Albert hall, epic sound system… full house atmosphere building. Classic moment ✌️
I'm an old geezer born in the 50's and there isn't much in the way of new music that appeals. I know that this isn't 'new' but the band is to me. Caught them playing out the credits of the film The Gift with the track Keep In The Dark and I was immediately hooked. Straight away I bought the album Sun Structures and I am not disappointed.
