If you feel like this video is incomplete and ends abruptly that’s because it does end abruptly and is incomplete- accidentally didn’t export the whole thing and was lazy enough to not check it before uploading to RU-vid- have since then deleted the video files so cannot go back and fox it as well - so this shall forever remain here as a glowing reminder of my lack of attention to detail😊👍🏼 apologies
Well done mate. Great story. Very relatable. Kid of the 90s with an rx135 and a thunderbird later which I sold before moving down under. Mid forties now. Did Ladakh on a hired bike last year and everything came back. Bought a triumph 400x in India in Jan. Did a solo trip there and left the bike there as I headed back to what is now home. Within a month of coming back, got myself an interceptor here. Would’ve loved to catch-up, but I’m in a diff state. Keep riding.
Awesome and thanks for sharing. I am so keen to do Ladakh as well, lets see when it happens. Do ping me your contact if possible- would love to plan out my ladakh trip with someone who has already done it👍🏼 cheers! Enjoy the interceptor 😊👍🏼
Nicely done retrospective. Im also happy that RE has shared this treasure with the West. There are so few manufacturers of anything that give any consideration to the end users ability to service and maintain their products. I returned to motorcycling at 55 after a 30 year break, precisely because of their diy nature. Happy owner of two Himalayans and a Classic350, and considering a Super Meteor. From the NW of USA.
Wonderful content! I am in my 50's and returned back to riding about 2 years ago when I bought a RE interceptor. I just love it and I love the return to wellbeing, freedom, and oneness it gives me. Keep posting! Ride safe!
135cc. Has to be a Glamour? On other news Bought my first bike (Xpulse) at the ripe age of 38! More because of the fact that very few cheap and tall bikes (I am 6'1") existed here in India
My awesome friend, I just turned 66. And I ride upstate NY on my Hunter 350 every weekend. I’m free then. All day. And then I think of it all week until Saturday and Sunday And repeat
Great dream into the day by day reality , a big salute from Buenos Aires, long life to dream with RE models, in my case i love: bullet 350 or hunter, both are part of my dreams, in a different ways, (The voice of history and the actuallity life, the past and the future)
Funny that RE in the west are considered a modest motorcycle, nice to see that one of your dreams has been fullfilled. I have the same motor cycle and am thoroughly enjoying it but I have been riding 30 years and have a number of larger motorcycles on my journey!
Hello there. I'm in Europe, the Balkans peninsula. The winters last 10 years are milder and milder with less snow and less streaks of shivering cold. Good of all sort of two wheeling 😁 .. Thinking of getting the Hunter myself but thinking about the scram 411 too.. It will be discontinued soon.
The best therapy to Calm. See life, explore it and understand Life is beyond some targets "I want this & that" and above any luxury. Ride on your bike out into those freeways, into the country side around the mountains. You will be happier mentally. 😌🙏
Your winters are so tame my friend. Like a tug on the blankets. Here in upstate they are so cold and snow packed. Melbourne looks so cold and beautiful. Here in New York it’s 93 to 97😅, and my Dapper White 350 Royal Enfield is on point and in the top end this summer. Be safe in that cold November rain. And remember The united states rides with you my friend
I am in similar situation like you.. Closing on 40, was passionate biker in my early 20's .. Had big bikes but speed and power don't appeal to me any more. Love Enfields and thinking of getting one, love the character and the simplicity no nonsense approach. Hunter is my favorite but have my eye on the twins 650s as well.
Watching this from Arizona, USA. It's currently 44 Celsius here. Or 114 degrees in Freedom Units. Enjoy the cold weather. Some of my best motorcycling memories happened in the cold. All the silly/ not great ones happened in the heat. Thanks for the video! o7
You sir are a much braver man than I! To bloody cold , another great watch. Next time you are on Grantulla Road hang a right onto Ridge Rd Trig Point/Johns Hill brilliant lookout :)
It has been pretty cold up here in Brisbane as well . The other day the maximum temperature was only 20C. Most days have been between 14C to 24C. As you said, can't wait till it warms up in Spring. Be careful on those frosty roads.
I am hoping for a gap in the weather for a ride out in our British summertime!. I have a week to get my bike up to 300 miles in shorter running in trips , not as easy as I originally thought when the weather is not cooperating!
@@TheHalfNomad Its a charming little bike, I am looking forward to it being run in so that I can do a bit more spirited riding. I do have another bike, an older bmw airhead which couldnt be more different 980cc and heavy! Which I must not neglect!
It’s strange to see winter on the other side of the world, as we have the summer here. My learning continues and the Interceptor now has some panniers for adventures further afield and along the way I have acquired an old GoPro and tent. So may be, just may be, I will post some video - but I do not think they will be as nearly as interesting or creative as yours. Well done on your first 1,000 subs!
I bought the very same bike (in red though). Brand new, my first motorcycle at age 48. Yesterday I finally got it from the dealer and rode for about 60km. It's a beautiful bike, great sound and so easy to ride. I had SO much fun :-)
The first time I was able to shift gears on a moto, it was on a dirt road and I was about to cry, but I was laughing inside my helmet. I couldn't explain it. This was a superb video, tomorrow I'll buy my RE dapper grey . Regards from Chile.
I'm a returning rider, after 29 years, and I've got a deposit on a Triumph Speed 400 in Phantom Black to buy this coming week, but, am considering switching my choice to this bike. Love that sound, and it really did feel nice to ride. The only thing keeping me leaning to the Triumph is the 40hp compared to the 20hp of the Hunter. Tough call!
