This channel is dedicated to my project of recording amateur audiobooks of George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novel series. This has been a project for my friends, but now I've decided to post them publicly for a lark. I have no intention of profiting off of these videos in the extremely unlikely event that some sort of audience develops for this. This project is intended as a tribute to a series I love, and as a way to get some of my stubborn friends to consume the novels that I love. Not every take is perfect, and not every silly voice is consistent, and not every voice that's really just a glorified impression of a cast member from the tv show is very good, but I hope you enjoy.
On a second read, these chapters are so wholesome and comforting. I just wish GRRM's writing wasn't so brutal at times, there is no need to call Brienne ugly all the time.
I think “the black blood of demons” that was raining down was dragon blood cause from HoTD we know dragon blood is black and it burns hence the demon part
I'm so happy I finally finished a book in the ASOIF series. I have always wanted to get into it ever since the tv series, but I had a hard time reading with fictional books. I always felt like I missed out on the books for the longest time. I discovered later in life that audiobooks are better for me when I read fiction. (And the weirder thing, it's the opposite with non-fiction books. Easier with a physical book instead of audiobooks. Idk why) I'm really glad I ran out on my audiobook limit on Spotify and saw you recommended in various GoT subreddits. I love all the different voices you do and how much life you put into the characters and narration. Thanks so much for putting these up and getting me back into GoT
The plot is thickening and the chapters have started to become larger as the lore is deepening. Interesting but i like the revisiting approach of certain characters from time to time.
This a great chapter and all but I'm so angry at GRRM for cutting out all the sex scenes between Sansa and Dontos, the rough draft versions he posted online were so HOT! and it also really developed Sansa further as a character...
Tyrion’s judging Tywin for not fighting at the Green Fork but by the time Tywin was Tyrion’s age Tywin had fought in the War of the Ninepenny Kings as a knight then decimated the Reynes and Tarbecks. I.e. Tywin had nothing more to prove on the battlefield.
I feel bad for Lysa but I also hate her in a way I don't hate any of the other dislikeable characters. She's not evil, but insane and within her rests a lot of power. The knights of the Vale could've changed the outcome of the war.
Oh, Sansa. Dang, never knew she had nightmares after her father's death since I watched the show. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Man, at least Bran and Rickon got prophetic dreams. But Sansa gets nightmares. I can only imagine this'll be with her for the rest of her life. And even though we know Cersei is horrible and not to be trusted, seeing Sansa hurt and the start of learning the queen hates her is just sad. Poor, Sansa, she must've thought she held herself as a proper lady, worthy enough to be queen. She obeyed and trusted her. That's how she was taught. To respect, obey, and trust the adults and royals in her life. Only to be shattered as things go south for her. Poor thing
Euron is using Shade of Evening like the CIA used LSD during the MK Ultra experiments. Damphair is a very unreliable narrator in this chapter because he is under the influence of powerful hallucinogens.
