Terrific work- The parallels of the lighting and scenery with the music are really perfectly set. Excellent flying- I trust your setup allowed you to see a bit clearer than the imagery of the camera.
Hey! Your MSP connection might be the reason, the Air Unit only increased its power once it receives an arm signal from the flight controller. Check out this video for more info: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t6CBYsfmBsk.html
Setting up for mini LR with an Explorer and Crossfire. Found your channel while checking out Explorer LR 4 HD vids. Can’t stop watching these couple vids. This is best type of FPV! “If I was a bird of prey, where would I fly/explore?” Your flying is great. Loved how you got to play around the ridge in the sun with the “other birds “. Just saw your insta link … cool, more killer flying to watch.
Das ist doch echt leiwand😆 Wie isses mit der Reichweite gewesen,so,zwischen Fels und Gebirgsketten? Da gab es doch eine Menge Hindernisse, fuer die Funk, oder?
Amazing shots. Looking to get an explorer as well. Did you do any mods to increase the range? I heard that video starts to cap out at around 2 km range..
@@spacehaze420 I haven't flown much recently but I want to get back into it! The Explorer is still probably my favorite quad due to its portability (easy to carry on hikes) and long flight time. I'm planning to upgrade it to O3 for even better range and video quality.
@@FPFPV I did not even realize that this was not the new O3 that you flew on. I guess i will go for an explorer then. Keep it up man, your footage is awesome! This vid sets such a mood.
YEEEESS!! this is literally why I got into FPV, for mountain surfing. This video is epic. I have my first Li-ion pack in the mail right now, and just got my patch antennas for my goggles. Li-po batteries have kept me from doing any flights like this with my Flywoo Explorer. But soon, very soon. What is your stick feel/power like with this setup?
Thanks! Yeah it's definitely not as nimble as with a Lipo, but that's the tradeoff you have to make for more flight time. Still maneuverable enough for flights like these!
@@FPFPV Awesome! and yeah, lower power output plus the added weight. I went with a 3s 3000mah pack. It was 50g lighter than most others, but might be a wash with one less cell lol. Thanks for responding so quick on an older video. Great work. Ill be hella nervous on my first flight like this haha
I actually ordered this frame to put t motor 1404 motors and their mini f7 stack in. Excited to build a micro long range based on this frame and Dave Cs principles
@@FPFPV I am aware of that. I have an adapter plate but a lot of people upgrade the FC to 20x20. They just went with 16x16 to save weight. From my understanding talking to someone that is running a 20x20 mamba the holes are already there it's just a little tighter.
@@FPFPV it's a tight fit for a 20x20 even though it has the holes. I use tmotor exclusively and really trust their stacks. It will barely fit. Wire placement is crucial. But worth it. If it ain't broke though don't fix it. Your videos are amazing and what I'm aspiring to film myself. Keep up the beautiful work!
Awesome video, the range I’m seeing is crazy so many peaks and dives with such a solid video signal, impressive! What type of receiver did you go with, I opted the Elrs route
Hm, technically it probably could, but it would fly horribly if I had to guess. Also, there isn't a lot of space on the top plate for both a full gopro & a decent-sized battery.
This is so amazing. The music really traps you in the visuals. On the top you go around the peaks you should lose line of sight; why didn't lose signal?
@@FPFPV Great. Are you using the GoPro hero 6 or 7? I just saw a few videos like this and wanted to start with FPV. At the moment I got a Tango II and start playing with the simulator, I will grab a DJI googles v2 if I see a good offer and one of these LR little guys.
@@albertocalvetphotography6165 This is using a Naked GoPro Hero 6. Btw, there will be new DJI goggles released in about a month or so, I'd maybe wait and see what they have to offer before buying one. The existing v2 goggles will probably also get cheaper then.
@@FPFPV Thanks for Your prompt and kind answer. I have an Explorer LR, Inav 5.0 , Frsky R9m with Express LRS , CADDX Vista and I actually fly under 250gr with a 650mah 4s battery. I got the certificate to fly in A3 class so I could fly in remote areas with a heavier battery. Are You flying with a 18650 battery pack and 4S or 3S? If I'm not bothering You too much, I have some slight "tremors" on the frame during flight that are visible on cam , did You experience any and, if yes, how did you cope with that? (gyro filters, pids, video stabilization..). Thank You for Your help!
@@idrone5218 I've been busy with other stuff haven't flown in nearly a year, unfortunately. But I still love the hobby and plan to get back to it at some point!
Really well done! I love the atmosphere at sunset. I also have a Flywoo explorer and use a 4s 3000mah LI-ion with an SMO 4K camera, so very similar to your set up. However with all the weight when it dives down a cliff, it wobbles (especially with lower throttle) and I suspect it is due to the heavier weight. Did you ever have that problem and if so, how did you solve it? I just changed the stock PID to the one used by Oscar Liang and I am excited to test it out this weekend. Thanks!
@@FPFPV I think the new PIDs improved the flight characteristics. But I still have wobble when cliff diving with lower throttle. Maybe I need to keep the throttle higher. I recently ventured into 7 inch long range FPV and the flight performance is great. But the downside is the added bulk. I take mine hiking every time.
@@martinma6194 Same, I also love to go hiking with them. Pure bliss. But also the reason why I prefer the smaller 4" over 7. Haven't flown in a while, looking forward to get back into it!
@@FPFPV Your videos are very inspiring, please keep them coming! I live in California and will be traveling to the Dolomites this July for a backpacking/camping trip. Will definitely bring my drones :)
Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing. But ... It sound very weird that you did with just a DJI system. It appears that from your tx in many moments you can't be in Line of Sight with the tx, so it is almost impossible that the singal was so good to allow you to fly so close to the groud. I suppose that there must be some helpful reflectors (or repeters) in that area that allow the signal to bounch and reach the rx. Have you evaluated this aspect?
It's just a normal Flywoo Explorer with the DJI system, trust me. There's line of sight at all times, you can clearly see the two peaks that I flew to at the beginning of the video. When I turned around, you can also always see the place where I took off from and where I was standing, i.e. line of sight.
Hah, yeah that was my plan but I copped out at the last second 🙃 This was shot on a "Naked "GoPro Hero 7, but I use a naked GoPro Hero 6 on this quad now because it works better with Reelsteady
