Saint Stanislaus Catholic College, Tullybeg, Rahan, Co. Offaly. Completed in 1820, it was a Jesuit boarding school until 1886 when it was repurposed for the use of the Jesuit order themselves.
During the recession the lead valleys in the beautiful gate house were ripped out for scrap by some thieves. That was near 14 years ago and what was a minor job to fix at the time, now has the buildings roof severely damaged over the year’s of neglect. The OPW are a joke. The stables out the rear of the building are also destroyed. Where the horses were kept once had parquet flooring, panelling on the walls & cornice’s on the ceilings. Horrible to see 😔
Opw...... office of public waste is it? In 20 years the roof will have caved in due to in action. Let a rich person buy it and restore it for future generations.
Such a beautiful castle on the island and lovely lakeside. Wonderful drone and ground shots, showing the full beauty of this place. Very nice video, my dear friend. 🤘👍
