Hi Everyone! I hope you all have been hanging in there through COVID...We finally see light at the end of the tunnel! With everything going on, I hadn't had a chance to make or share videos. I was just reading so many comments that I missed and felt so heart warmed by all of your kind words. It means the world to me...The whole reason I did a video in the first place is to help inspire your own creativity. I am going to commit to making a couple more videos in the summer. I think its about time :) Would love feedback on what exactly you are hoping to see. Niches, fireplaces, weird spaces,, may new favorite(parlors).....anything. I love to give ideas and help inspire. Hope you all come back to watch! xoxo Tracy-
Hi Barb, Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words. I cant believe that I have had the fortune to stage more than a decade now!! I love it everyday. Hoping to bring more videos in the near future!
Hi Vanessa! Thanks for taking the time to comment:) I love that! I wish you all the success. It is a great career path, and my team has so much fun!!... There is a misconception it is not "chill" at all ;) It is so much hard work...especially behind the scenes....But so worth it! Good Luck:)
Love your work... You prefer to use a real bed to stage the rooms? I use airbeds quite frequently saves me space for other stuff in the kit :) I also just added a fake TV is lighter and easier to handle than the mirrors.
Hi Matt! Thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts:) I use both; Real beds in the Master and sometimes airbeds in the secondary bedrooms if staging is needed:) I like the faux TVs as well. I use mirrors more often because it serves a dual purpose. The shape allows a buyer to see where a TV can be hung, and it also reflects light into a room and makes it look bigger. It sounds like you are a big advocate for staging...bet you are one of the successful ones!! ;)
@@sellitquickhomestaging6435 Thanks, I really appreciate your comments. My client's homes sell very well. I see you do staging, it's a lot in part to staging the homes whenever possible. I call it the silent salesman. Really makes a HUGE difference. I think two identical homes, one staged one not. The staged home will always sell first.
That's a great idea! I will think about making a blog with links. I love to help everyone make their home or listed property beautiful!! Thanks for weighing in! Love it!
You are right!! I was so busy staging and everyone came out as a stager...I thought it was flooded, but I have had many requests...I am committed to doing more this summer!! Thank you for the nudge;)
I would love to start a home staging business. I have staged all 3 homes I have sold, they go for over asking, and they always get comments that it looks beautiful, stunning, and even some people say “I can’t believe the pictures weren’t photoshopped” and “I feel like I walked on set of HGTV”. It makes me so happy to make other people feel so good seeing my work and feel so comfy and excited. How can I start such a business?
Thank you for sharing this video. Do you know what I found the most interesting - something that gets me too - the mitre joins of the mirror frame - not fitting correctly and you have to colour it in to disguise the bad joins. these tips are invaluable and fabulous and I would love for you to show more of these tips - how to cover tiny flaws in furniture, fitting and the actual building.
Did you see the end result in the video..no clock. I wanted to show how everything is trial and error until it looks amazing:)...even with stagers and designers!
You are not really showing the entire room when it is finished. The camera cuts are too quick and you show the cushions and ornaments and furniture close up but not how it looks from a distance.
I would've placed a large round table in the dining area to balance off all the straight lines with a round rug & used a faux flat screen tv instead of a large mirror 😉
Hi Shannon, I appreciate that you took the time to watch and to comment! The space can be deceiving in the video... but in two places there wouldn't have been enough room to walk around if I put in a round to fit 6.🙂 I do use the faux TVs as well . This time I chose a mirror so the mirror would bounce light and make the small room look bigger. If the home had been larger, your suggestions would be right on!😉💜
Looks lovely, but staging puts me off. I want to see how people live in their homes, that way I can see what I would change. I don't want to see a show home
Dee Ferry trust me when I say you really don’t want to see how people really live. I am a realtor and stage homes and bring my cleaning lady along too! Staging helps sell homes quickly and for top dollar.
Hi Morenita! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate all feedback. I understand what you are saying....This was a video to show the "real staging" things go in and out of homes so often, I wanted to show this trick to cover up many imperfections. When it gets too noticeable, we retire the furniture. When we are finished. No one notices:) Have a wonderful week :)
Thanks Daniel! I appreciate the feedback.. Yes and no...When the home sells, I remove the furniture and put it in another home...but when the furnishings become outdated or too damaged from all the staging, I retire the items:)
