I know I'm late to the party - still i wonder... I love to watch content like documentaries about space/physics/astrophysics - and a channel marks CGI scenes of spacecraft, planets, etc. with a little icon on screen that says: CGI. Would this be enough of a declaration to YT or would they have to declare those essays with the "synthetic/altered content"-Marker when they upload? The channels name btw. is "Astrum" and boy, do they deliver me my nerdy needs 🤓😅
Soooooo - what are the implications of that? Would you mind to publish such a video yourself to show some stats compared to your regular Videos? Or tell us what counts as altered-/synthetic media for YT? As consumer opposed to a creator i have no idea how the Rules, the Algorythm or anything else on YT works 🤘 If you already Made a Video about that i'm watching it r/n 😅
If you don’t do much live streaming and just record to your computer or camera and put together in software is the Streamer X a better device (since you get 4K and features of a Rodecaster)?
Royal has embarkation and disembarkation down to a freaking science, I wish other lines would follow their model. One tip I noticed very quickly on an oasis ship, to cross over from forward and aft there really are 3 ways, Deck 5 Promenade, Deck 8 Central Park, Deck 15 Pool Deck. Honestly I found Central Park such a nice way to cross over and avoid weaving in and out of people. So if you want to meet up with someone in a hurry or maybe you forgot you had a reservation and trying to get there a bit faster, use Deck 8. Ive not done Allure, that's going to be early next year right before she repositions to drydock for enhancements, I did Wonder, but it will be nice to experience the original oasis class experience before it goes away, Allure is the last ship with it.
You are a future successful youtuber. Just add graphics on your videos, of what you're talking about, and better music with faster transitions, intro and outro, and you're good to go 🎉
I honestly don't get your hangup with logos. Of course, the manufacturer wants, the advertising, their presence known, or "audio sounds good, what's he/she using?". Frankly I'm so used to seeing the Rode mic/logo in shots, I just don't notice it. If it bothers you so much, take a black sharpie to it. 🙄
Excellent information and explained well for us older folks. The only issue I am having is dumping the "Smart Collection". When I try it just tells me to go to He...
So you shoot with these cameras: - Sony Alpha ZV-E1 - Sony CinemaLine FX30 - Sony ZV-E10 (not mark II) Which of these did you use with the RodeCaster Video device? Did you use these on HDMI or on USB-C?
I upgraded from DJI Wireless GO 2 to DJI Mic 2 and I have to say, the size is great and the 32-bit float is godly. I do wish it had the timecode feature but I rarely need timecode

Yes! Most of these mic systems, including ulanzi have a line out that allows you to plug them into any device that accepts audio sources. Audio Consoles, DSLR’s, and most action cameras will accept any mic as long as you have the right adapters.
Personally, I wouldn’t want a mic with USB - but I already have an interface with clear, transparent preamps with a decent amount of gain. An alternative high quality large diaphragm dynamic mic I would suggest for those unable/unwilling to pay the price of an SM-7b would in my opinion be the Rode Procaster. At less than 200 quid it’s a bargain for the quality.
I totally understand your response, and so much of this comes down to personal preference. With that said, most of the mics that are similar to your suggestion require and audio interface and cables. And, they sound GREAT. The benefit, for some, is that a usb mic is plug and play, and they also sound great. But, again, your suggestion is great, and I agree that it will work wonderfully for some.
Samson Q9U don't sound all time bad like most people say. But, I do wish it did sounded good right out of the box (see Samson Q2U for example). With Samson HighRise preamp device, Q9U do sound great. I'll keep my eye on that bad boy! Great video, PM!
From watching some videos on Shure SM7DB microphone, it sounds the same to me. I don't hate Shure at all. But, I wouldn't buy their microphone due to how expensive it is. I'll stick to premium/budget microphone like Samson or FiFine. Great video, PM.
How do I shut this off? I did the subscription link, but don't like it. It seems like I'm losing my audience. I put it on the you tube channel, not my videos. If they are a subscriber and then say no, will they unsubscribe from my channel. Please let me know. thank you :)
Hey, I think I understand your question. But this isn’t a feature that you turn on and off. This is a link that you create. The only way people would interact with this link is if they see it and click on it.
16:47 I have listened to many vids on organizing libraries projects and events and I congratulate you on your clear explanation on setting these up and finding all the files if you ever need to migrate to another HD. Thank you very much. Let me know when you post again thank you
I'm looking for that spa package on the site but it doesn't seem to exist. I see a LOT of massages and such, but not a specific spa package that mentions access to the showers, relaxation, sauna's, etc......Nevermind, I updated the filter and saw thermal and sure enough, there it is.
I recently purchased it to be used alongside the Elgato prompter, and I am seriously disappointed. This isn't just a gimmicky foot pedal. It is a $90 USD gimmicky foot pedal. It is egregious that the pedals make clicking noises when used. The device is unusable for anything requiring sensitive sound recording - such as nearly every context it is being advertised for. This should have been seen as a design flaw from day one of testing. Any amount of rubber would fix this, and yet instead Elgato chose to go with repeatable plastic catches, which are destined to wear down and fail quicker than any other material. People are supposed to step and stand on this thing. The USB-C cable ending in a regular USB connector betrays the fact that there is absolutely nothing fancy about this piece of gear to even justify using a high-end cable, or the price point. There is no pressure sensitive response in the pedals, so they are not even pedals - just 3 lever switched in a superfluous $90 shell. One could simply buy 3 individual USB pedals, plug them in, and have Stream Deck assign a different function to each one for probably half the price, if not a third. Replacing springs manually is another way Elgato cut corners. Adjusting tension on each spring should have been done on the exterior of the shell, using something as simple as a screw. Countless devices have already fundamentally solved this problem. Even door closers have had adjustable springs for over 100 years. But Elgato instead just sends a half-dozen little paper baggies with unlabled springs for you to experiment with. This involves taking the device apart, awkwardly removing the metal plate without cracking the plastic, putting new springs in, then awkwardly reassembling the plate back on by lining up the new springs as well as a small, and breakable, plastic pin, into obscured notches, continually applying pressure to keep it from popping off as you insert the tiny screws, playing with the new spring tension, and then doing it all over again until you get what you want. It's a waste of time and an insult to customers. The fact that it is intentional is infuriating, showing a blatant disregard for the user experience. I don't blame the idea for this product, as a properly designed version would be tremendously useful. But the execution of it by Elgato is an exploitative rip-off on par with the Fallout 76 Nuke Dark Rum.
I don’t agree quite as strongly, but I do agree that this pedal isn’t all that it should be. I’m looking forward to future versions, but I’m currently in the process of editing and publishing a video that explains my system and the gear I use, which I think is much better.
TY for this! I'm looking for one and luckily haven't pulled the plunge (you may just have saved me a headache). Though I really want to get a programmable food pedal as they CAN be very useful. I have yet to come across one that does this (and more) in a GOOD way, without breaking the bank that much (yet I'm willing to pay for a good/quality product)... I just don't know where to find a good foot pedal (hopefully one that doesn't slip, I don't have a carpet/or rug where I tend to use it). Also, I'm residing in Europe so some of the offerings may not be available for my region..
