We need a viable donor money free political party OUTSIDE of the plutocracy. When a person runs on a GOP, Democratic, No Labels, or Libertarian party, the covertly acknowledge that they approve of everything that political party does and says. That means a person running on the GOP or Democratic party ticket approves of the plutocratic donor owners and say just by their actions that they will serve their donor owners only and always.
In modern day, the vast majority of black people are middle class, and they don't actually need the money. How will it be determined how much money each person gets, and how will it be determined who even gets the money in the first place? If a person is black but immigrated to this country two years ago, would they qualify for the money? What if someone had a black ancestor but the rest of their ancestors are white? What if a person has black ancestors but is now a millionaire, should they get the money? What about Darrell Brooks, the black man who deliberately drove his SUV into the Waukesha Christmas parade, killing 6 people and injuring 62 others, should he get the money? There is just logistically no way to pay reparations which would be fair to everyone. Also finally we have the fact that the government never owned any slaves, they were all owned by individuals in the South who are now dead. Why should I pay for slavery when my ancestors came to this country long after slavery has been abolished?
My grandparents were slaves. Put in chains, put on a boat, sent to a foreign country , whipped and forced to work and die in filth. All by the British government over land rights. Im a white Australian. SOUND FAMILIAR....Wheres my reparations.
