I've heard over 5000 songs... way over, and Metallica is the greatest Poets of all time, even if you don't like "heavy metal" if you took in the lyrics of all their music it will leave you in awe and leave you knowing the truth, they are smart, poetic, and all in all masters of story telling with music. Metallica will live on forever simply because they are amazing
James' voice was already starting to get weak by this point. I remember when Live Shit: Binge & Purge came out and I first noticed his voice getting weaker.
absolutely, his voice started to decline here, and got weaker and weaker from then on. at st. anger time it was already a sad shadow of his peak, and it declined even further.
Had a very vivid and real dream about going back to this time and warning about the bus accident in the next year. They weren't having any of it, and started saying like , "yeah whatever man, you're nuts" or something like that. It was so real I could smell the booze and beer in the room even and touch things. Strange stuff.
Live music is great especially when the musicians are in their early 20's and full of adrenaline making it near impossible to play any song less than 200 bpm.
That was an amazing day/ night, I was there for about 20 hours, lol (silly fan boy days) I was too young to get in, and tickets were scarce anyway. The crowd outside was probably 5 times what was inside, and we heard the entire show. And they hung out for several hours after signing, talking, insulting(in good fun). They made Delaware a special place that night.
@@feedbacktwins Thank you for that comment, I love hearing other peoples accounts of that night. It's just crazy to me to imagine Metallica, already at the height of popularity, playing at the bar down the street from where I grew up, absolutely insane.
James was pretty much healed at this point, but he was singing just weeks after his flame job, this band doesn’t stop. Also John played backstage when James broke his arm in 85/86 , Cliff told him to get his ass on stage
@@nimitz1739 in an interview I watched he said he slowly played more songs, when he got burnt he said a lot of his left hand finger skin was left on the fretboard of his guitar so it took along time for his fingers to get calloused again to play a whole show.
You know James thanks God his coach told him he had to cut his hair to stay in high school football. He had to choose football or stay in a band. Obviously he made the right choice. 😊
Thank you so much and God bless you a million times for posting this great and precious and concert video. My friends and I were there and would do anything to be able to go back and relive this one concert. This time though, I would make sure by any means necessary to get us there EARLIER to be able to see and enjoy all three bands, from beginning to end.🏁🏁🏁
