Very novel new idea for trailer design. Surprised it has taken so long for a manufacturer to start building this commercially. If i was still actively in the business of farming i would buy one of these trailers.
What safety measures are in place for when a pipe bursts on those hydraulic cylinders, to stop the sides coming crashing down on an unsuspecting forklift driver?
The Guardian box loader would still sit apart from these trailers. In the Guardian's case the majority of crop is already secured in the boxes on the deck which are secured in place by the frame and chutes, the remaining crop on the top cushion is surrounded with with extensions preventing it from going anywhere and a handy roll-over sheet is available to cover the top to protect your crop from the elements.
Great idea I'm currently looking to upgrade my straw trailer for next year, this is a very interesting take on the problem. I wonder if its strong enough for badly loaded straw bales sticking out the sides a bit. Interested to have a close up look.

Makes sense as a standard on road, particularly for travelling though towns & villages with bales which shed and sometimes fall off. Great when open for shelter from the typical British weather too! Key for buyers is versatility 👌🏼
What I have seen on here, its 100% better than any other British make, The well known Green trailers, I have used quite a lot, I have never in my long life used such a bloody numb farm trailer. As for Larrington trailers, they are as scarce as hens teeth in my area of Yorkshire, only one i saw from afar was the high lift push out trailer for Roger Hobson, carrot king. The green trailers we had were all on hire, our own trailers were Triffit, made down to a cost on some of them, I personly modified all of them, those highly dangerous steps at the front caused many accidents in a muddy potato field, I fitted proper steps at the front & near front axle side, but oh me, the cheap as chips lift rams were a thorn in my side, set of seals lasted a trailer little over 2 years, my job to repair them, yes your trailers as we say up here...Are the Dogs Bollocks....
Great idea for hauling products like cabbages as you mentioned as in essence its a hands free curtain sider but with regards to straw it seems excessive and expensive when other clamp type trailers are avaliable on the market if one wants to not strap there load or when a simple ratchet strap is avaliable and easy to use, if straw was such a problem why isn't the haulage industry already transporting it in a means like this? On another note though like all larrington products trailer looks fantastic and well made.
What a very well engineered and well made trailer a lot of thought has gone into that, And a great video presentation love that it hasn’t be edited really enjoyed watching this, i think if I was looking for a root crop trailer I’d buy one of these, and Richard did really well making this video in those windy conditions. 👍🏻🇬🇧
Hej søren ! Thank you for you comment. You will no doubt have missed the many previous comments saying the same thing. As mentioned countless times before, this machine is not to replace a loader, the loader was only used to fill the trailer in the customer's yard for ease of testing purposes... The trailer is designed to be loaded in the field (where you wouldn't have a loader) and is then used to load a commercial trailer directly from the field, which again you couldn't do with a 'bigger loader'. The trailer in the video was built to chase sugar beet into a road waiting vehicle, and this video shows our initial tests on maize, which were done in a yard rather than the field as it allowed to get a better view of what changes needed to be made to better handle this crop.
You might struggle to get a large hopper and elevator to follow a forager in the field. If you like the idea of a large hopper and elevator take a look at our elevator truck, it allows you to load road waiting vehicles while keeping your tractors/trailers in the field. a quick search of "Elevator Truck" should bring it up. LT.
It would appear that you're in the minority. Did you want to elaborate on that comment ? Could it just be that you haven't understood what you're actually watching ?
@@samuelrivera2391 So you've misundertood the video, that's fair enough. This was a trial of our sugarbeet chaser on a different crop (maize). This would normally be loaded in the field (directly from a forager) and chased directly in to a commercial lorry at the headland. As it was a test to see what alterations were required to handle a different crop, we opted to do the test in a controlled environment - which meant loading it in the yard (with a front loader) rather than in the field (from a forager) - Hopefully that's given you a better idea of what the trailer does.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my brother these days :)
po co ładowano na przyczepę wyładowczą? by ta wyładowała trociny na samochód drugi?? to dlaczego ładowarka nie ładuje bezpośrednio na samochód????idiotyzm do kwadratu!!!
