Up in the Adirondacks this summer, placing my travel trailer, I had to back the pickup up around a curved driveway to avoid tree branches. 4-lo did it calm, cool & collected!
Thanks for the reminder Jeep Momma. When I first purchased my Jeep I went to a Jeep adventure off-road school in Tennessee. Learned a lot but it’s always good to get a mini refresher course.
I just bought a 2009 wrangler rubicon and saw this video, the sway bar light won’t stop blinking and I’m in 2WD.. I’ve tried everything to get it to stop blinking. Any ideas how I can turn it off ?
I have heard this before. You might want to try pushing your bumper up and down to try and re-engage it. Maybe try going back into 4Lo and pushing it off and on again. Make sure you are on gravel road when you go into 4Lo
The problem is is nobody ever tells you which side is which button they tell you about the buttons and what the buttons do but they don't say your left side button is for your axle lock or your right side button is for your axle lock how am I supposed to know which is which it's great to people want to explain it but nobody seems to think of the common sense of which a lot of us with older Jeeps don't have these manuals and that's the reason we're looking it up on RU-vid it'd be great if somebody would think of that part like the one on the right is the one that does is the one on the left is the one that does this or say hey both of them do this I don't that's the whole point of me looking the video up
Dumb techs. This is all nonsense. Jeep tech for 17 years and this is a lie. You would first opt to pull the body, not the engine. but none of this is necessary. The abs comes out faster and easier than any engine ever period.
@@JeepMomma I’m very happy to hear that. It is all too common for people to have to remove an engine for a seemingly simple job. There may very well be a car you must remove an engine to replace a washer reservoir, just not that one is all. That being said, most of my customers are warranty jobs so they do laugh at the ridiculousness of some jobs.
The Windshield, the wiper bays, the gas lid, the Glovebox... my windshield has the Jay Doubly Puh getting chased by T-rex a throwback to the Trex Traction System on Willie's. Behind your tire mount, the seven slot vent on the tailgate...
@@JeepMomma that's a coating I put on my Jeep that has lasted two years and comes back Shiny as a mirror with a Powerwash. It also repels radar... which is a somewhat pointless advantage on a vehicle I rarely feel the urge to exceed the speed limit with.
Bob has an very good collection,I wish I had five more CJ2a Willys there nothing like riding in ours no radio no power steering, and when your out in it every one wants to talk with you about it ✌️✌️😎😎✌️✌️
Like I say. It’s your Jeep do what you want. I have a 1999 WJ Cherokee. Lights, 4’’ lift, bumpers and winch. I daily it because it’s fun and rides so nice. We go to JW Corbett about once every 2 months. A buddy of mine has 2004 WJ. We have a blast out there with the family. Mall crawlers are cool to look at, but if you have a chance take them on some light trails.
So for those that stumble onto this video... the reason why everyone keeps mentioning Factor 55 fid is because there is really no other alternative. In marine industry they sell fids but they cost like $25-32 for metal stick into which rope goes and then you need a "pusher" stick which looks like a long screwdriver of sorts and that is another $20. And so just roll your eyes and order the darn thing from factor 55. I just got mine on amazon for $47 with free shipping.
Ive always wanted one of these, i have 4 Jeeps in the family, two 98 ZJ grand cherokee, a grand wagoneer, and my 76 jeep j10... There is a fc150 for sale for 850$ near me, has good frame, the enginee and drivetrain is there but doesnt run. rusted out floors and stuff and needs a ton of work, but it looks like 90% of it is there which is good.. but with my 76 j10 still a project of mine i guess i have too many Jeeps.. i dunno, lol... I want it though... They dont seem very safe off-roading though and seem very top heavy, and my J10 on the farm is probably a much better work truck with its 8 ft bed than an FC ever could hope to be. I just think the fc is cool, but the J10 is cool too no one really has one on the road anymore
@@JeepMomma haha thanks, yea 5 Jeeps would be a lot, but i live on 14 acres and have the storage in the barn for them, and a workshop.. but the workload of fixing 4 older Jeeps that we basically daily drive is alot. Im not a fan of wranglers though, i kinda like the oddball Jeeps not many know of hense the wagoneer, j10, and one of my grand cherokees is a 5.9 limited, i feel everyone has a wrangler you know ? But no one has a wagoneer, or a 5.9 limited ZJ, or a J10.. OR an FC if i ever got one. youre lucky, ive never seen an FC in person or ridden in one before so lucky you !!
So glad you have knowledgeable mechanics to fix up your Jeep the proper way!! :) Is that the Iceman trail you are on?? When you coming back to AZ so we can go wheeling again? :)
I never worked for Chrysler or jeep, but I assume the weekly/daily meetings consisted of “how can we expedite the demise of this company so we can get more free government money?” And they passed around a suggestion box so if they ever needed to testify at the hearing, they will all pass
You dont need to remove the abs or the engine. You only need to separate the abs from the tray. And then wiggle it over the shock stud. Takes a little effort but saves alot of time and money helps
