Crazy how Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor chose to take inspiration from fucking Dark Souls and Sekiro instead of the best Lightsaber combat games to ever exist
All the way over here in Brazil I found this game in a Blockbuster when I was 9 or 10. We could "test-drive" the game in a fixed station and I was hooked (even though I had nightmares with that american cover lol). To this day one of my favorite games, really a hidden gem. Really curious what the few fans would do to a full decomp of this game!
Just came across this Video, we are also still playing Jedi Knight 2 to this day in a small community after Raven released the Source Code things went crazy and the game got even more enjoyable even newer Systems. Thanks for this Amazing Game!
Yes.. it had. Atleast with Ja+ Mod and the right server config. And it has the best combat to this day.. nothing comes cloes, especially no modern Game.
Imagine this style of game now with AI generated voices and lines depending on actions and what not. This system is such a memorable one and one that shouldn't be shelved.
21 years later, and Jedi Academy still best lightsaber combat system. So sad. But 25 years later and X-Wing Alliance is still the best SW flight sim, and SW Rebellion still the best Star Wars Strategy game. The passion is just not there anymore.
This, Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, Doom. These games were hitting this new sensation for games in the 90's: freely exploring a 3D environment. I didn't know it yet as a kid, but I was eagerly awaiting thenofficial arrival of open world game design. Body Harvest and Ocarina of Time both especially got me hyped and thinking about the future of massive exploration games. The genre has had some missteps, but we can always go back to these classics to reset ourselves are escape the formulas of modern open world design. Back when they were winging it and trying to figure it out
It is such a tragedy and injustice that people don’t know about this game’s mod movie battle II and its lightsaber system. MB2 (for short) has a blocking point system, kinda hard to explain, but it is so well designed that at some point you can literally rely on instinct and focus to win your duels. It is so immersive, and the perfect fun : complex ratio.
When I was on elementary school I play Hulk the open world one a lot, when i try playing prototype there's so many similarity within Hulk and prototype
One of the reasons that made NBA 2K better and caused EA to step up at gameplay was healthy competition itself. Once EA bought exclusive license for Madden, sports games slowly began their downfall. Then NHL, MLB and NBA games became monopoly and now people are stuck with one game for each sport.
