Great review! I have a 2019 CX5 GTR. which is Turbo and one trim below the top Trim. I agree with you on about 80%, such as the heavy steering, maneuverability, handling, etc. I do wish that it had some more cargo space, but for now, I make it work for me. And it seems like you are a Mazda fan as this is the second Mazda review of yours that I have watched. Good, clear, concise reviews. Looking forward your CX 50 review. Keep them coming!! Subbed!
Thanks for the super nice comment! I’m in fact a Mazda fan but objectively think this is a great suv. There are a few more Mazda reviews on the channel including the CX-50 Meridian edition and soon other CX-50 models, here is the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3JJLrjnn-mw.htmlsi=vBXtvPiR-qTuvE-F
Sir, I’m not sure what’s going on here. First off all this is not a PHEV. There is no such thing as a CX70 PHEV with panel colored skirts. Secondly, there is no such thing as a CX70 GT trim.
Thanks for your comment. The car is in fact a Mazda CX-70 PHEV GT Trim from Canada. In the US the quivalent of a GT trim is a Premium Plus, and you are right, the specs are not exactly the same, in the USA the plastic around the wheels is nor painted but in Canada for the GT trim is. You get other good stuff in the USA like the digital gage cluster and the bigger center screen, I’m not sure why Mazada went that way on the different trims/packaging between Canada and the US but that’s what it is. www.mazdausa.com/vehicles/cx-70-phev/compare-vehicle-specs-and-trims / www.mazda.ca/en/shopping/build-and-price/#/2025/CX-70-PHEV/ Hope this helps to clarify your valid comments.
@@Rockytop8118 This is a Canadian trim, it is the GT-P which is more or less the Turbo S premium in the US, you are right, black wheels are exclusive to Canada but hey, you get digital gage cluster and the big infotainment screen in more trims. I do really like this Canadian spec all black with the red interior it looks really good.

I Have the car and has lot of safety issue that keeps popping up, with blind spot, front and back impact montitor failures and more, has been in garage back and forth for 63 days in just 7 months but nothing fixed
I just leased a '25 LT in this color, Marina Blue, and it's beautiful. I traded in a '23 Ford which stickered for several thousand more and this has every feature and more than what I had in the Ford (including some which where part of a more expensive package than the two in the Trax). I do sacrifice AWD and some utility, but this feels better in so many ways. It looks better inside and out, rides nicer, has a better sounding audio system, the seats are more comfortable, and it runs in traffic pretty much as well too despite it having a considerably smaller engine. I find it to be quite responsive, and the engine's torque seems to be quite sufficient to get you up and going. The pairing of this engine to the 6 speed transmission is also very good. Several reviews rag on the "hard" armrests and console lid, but I've not found them to be uncomfortable. In fact, I drive with one arm on either and have not felt that they were a cause of discomfort in any way. In fact, the only thing I find out of place on the Trax are the buttons on the back of the steering wheel which control the audio system. They seem out of place with the refinement of everything else in the interior, and that's pretty good it that's all someone can find fault with on such a budget friendly vehicle.
Great review. Does it have Auto Start Stop? And after all the complaints about that strip down the middle of the seats Mazda goes and includes it on this new model. SMH! This is coming from a ‘19 CX 5 GTR owner which does not have that annoying strip.
Thanks for the nice comment, it means a lot for a small channel owner. Yes it does have auto start stop that Mazda calls I-stop which not only works on full stop but also while cruising and it works veer well, pretty seamless too. I know people complained about the strip on CX-50,s but you cannot feel it on the CX-70 or CX-90 in fact the seats are comfortable at least for me.
I guess just those that want the space, the looks and don’t care or need a third row. The big question is how big is that market. Thanks for your comment
Sorry guys, the Trax engine is 1.2L instead of 1.3L as said and shown in the video, a kind viewer just pointed out and I intended to correct it when editing but obviously I missed it.
Thanks for the comment, I realized the mistake and thought I corrected it on the graphics but I just checked and I added the “*” but kept 1.3, I will add a comment on the video, thank you again.
I hate having a big screen tv in a vehicle. Also, when it cracks, breaks, has any issues, your vehicle is probably totaled. It's idiotic. We already have a phone with apps, who needs that crap in a vehicle. I just want to push a button or turn a know without taking my eyes off the road rather than having to hunt through menus and wipe off the dust and fingerprints off the screen everyday.
I’m sorry to hear that, I just checked and yes the interior section the music seems to be louder but its ok passed that. Thank you for the note, appreciate it
I have seen some forums where people report issues but the right way to go is to check at serious sites like consumer reports or JD Power. I have owned a Wrangler for 3 years and 19k kilometers with no issues so far. I do not have concrete data on it, I’m sorry
I've had my Hornet R/T Plus with Tech Pack for 6mo now and absolutely love it! The handling is impressive, and it has a surprising amount of pep for a 1.3L!
