Be patient. I have anemone and they will settle down where they prefer. Mind got big and split and I have some like low light and some love lights and be chilling next to the power head. Just be patient.
Mine lived with a firefish for about a year got another firefish and the neon murdered him within first 30min of adding the new firefish. No sense he never messes with one that been in there.
Hello I am looking to build a stand like this for my 90 gallon, I was wanting the stand to be about 58 inches long instead of 48. Do you have any advice on this?
If people had bought a pet fish by mistake is hard to watch another fish killing it ; the best way is have a nother small fiah tank and isolate it ,that way you save your new fish from being killed
Great review of the finnex .. i currently have a Fluval plant 3.0 sitting on the top of my 36 gallon - 18" deep planted tank. The first thing that i immediately noticed was the difference in size between the two lights... Your Finnex and the Fluval. The Finnex was physically twice as long as the Fluval. The Fluval's 3.0 is short - half or at most - ¾ the length of the Finnex. I purchased my Fluval plant 3.0 for the 31" top that my tank measured. The light fixture itself is, IMO, insufficient for a fully planted side to side Aquarium. When i saw your review of the finnex, i knew i made the right decision to purchase the Finnex. As for the Fluval plant 3.0, the only plus i can see with this particular light is that you can operate it (fully) from your cellphone. Big deal! Im not sure how the Finnex operates, however, it's physical size spans from edge to edge of the aquarium - not just 3/4 the way like that of the Fluval. I guess the Fluval plant 3.0 is or would be sufficient if you're aquarium was only planted in around the centre of the aquarium.
Is the Fennix the Fugeray planted + ? The description in the video falls short of this .. I also have to agree with you about the Fluval plant 3.0. I too own the same light (and soon - the finnex Fugeray plant+) just wondering if you have decommissioned the Fluval and are using just the Finnex now? Sorry for the crazy questions but I find it extremely difficult to find any kind of reviews on this particular light - online.
Man I’m here searching because I was about to go crazy. I’ve had my rainbow bubble anemone for a week now and have been feeding it damn near every day (mysis shrimp)🦐 Well I just looked in the tank and saw it deflated and a huge white wad hanging and some more coming from it’s mouth. I guess because they have one hole it’s one way in & one way out 😂
I have a 15g and a 13.5qt. I bought a tiger pisto shrimp is in the 150 and just bought a blue spotted yellow watchman he’s in qt and now today I bought a neon dottyback which is small then watchman. Hope it all goes well then I’ll put the watchman in 150 and hope he’ll pair with tiger shrimp and then I’ll add neon dottyback. Two vs 1 😅 wish me luck
Hey whats up I recently got a 75 at petco with their 50% off deals .The stand looks great and sturdy.I plan to do build one also.If I copied yours what are the exact measurements I need /pieces of 2×4's?
This video reminded me of Eli's video about the 30,000 liter aquarium that has the insane DIY filter that is on a level most humans could never come close to make let alone making it work exactly the way he built it to
I have several large evaporation trays. I collect about 20 gallons of salt water from my tanks each week with the water changes, hold it in 5 gallon buckets till I transfer to the EVAP trays. Easier in the winter when the heat help the evaporation, but it gets the job done. Solid salt is then disposed of in the trash.
looks like you are using an aquatec pump. What hosing did you use and I need to connect to a 3/4 line - do you know where I can find these type of adapter connectors
It depends on your knowledge of your system. If you know its size and how much water you inject every day, and how much water you plan on throwing in there. Best practice is to have a chat with your septic servicer. Some have a separate service for non septic compatible water. Also, side walk or city storm drains are fine, it's just returning the water back to the ocean anyways. Most municipalities also have a septic pump plant station's where they accept dirty water. IMO, if you are on city drains... down the drain. On a septic, run a hose to the road and have at it. I know a guy that let's it the waste water just run down his driveway. Rain comes and takes care of the rest.
Save your self the trouble and buy a gate valve to control the flow going to the sump so it’s nearly silent. This video is way to complicated and not worth the effort
I think you may had picked up a Heteractis Malu (Still a sebae) and they're known to be extremely sensitive and delicate in captivity, most hobbyist actually recommend it's other variety known as "Heteractis Malu" (still sebae just a different species) since they're shown to be hardy once given the proper environment especially in captivity while malus tend to be sensitive
The only issue I see with this is TDS creep. I was going to do something similar but was told by pros not to cuz of creep. So I’m looking into an auto flush flow restrictor that may be the solution to fully automate without tds.✌🏻
