Yeah, how can I disable this “feature”? It’s proving to be less safe than advertised, with unintentional L+R acceleration at the end of a run into a no wake zone for instance.

You couldn't imagine how boring it was undergoing the study material. I've been driving boats for over 16 years, and already had many years of experience before it was mandatory to obtain a bidding license n exactly September 9th 2009. Unfortunately, many people don't take boating seriously, resulting in severe injury and or death. I honestly believe that there should be a practical component to the boating license as with a drivers license. The number of boating accidents in the US and Canada are still going up, yet more people are obtaining their licenses, makes perfect sense. We have to come to the realization that by having a practicum to obtain your bosting license would better educate people and reduce severe injury and death. I've witnessed bost accidents, and have rendered aid to those in need, despite me not being involved. I can also tell you that driving in person during rough weather is MUCH different than learning theoretical knowledge online. The first storm I was caught in was on lake huron with a buddy. I called the "pan pan" signal on channel 16 (marine radio) to send in my location, incase things deteriorated. The waves were very large, but I managed to withstand them by riding the waves using perfect timing techniques, and we got into port safely. Just a heads up, what this dude on ace boster says in another video regarding to the anchoring of a vessel in rough weather is not always true. Generally boats less than 16 ft. in length should not be anchored in rough weather, due to the being too small and unstable. Smaller boats will rock from side to side, resulting in a higher likelihood of capsizing (the sides are the weakest part of the boat). It also depends on the hull of your boat, as a pontoon can ride rogh weather in the most effective manner because it rides above the water. The next best boat for cutting through waves is the v hull, due to it's ability to face the waves. Flat hulls are the next best and canoes (round hulls) are the worst at cutting waves due to it's instability.
Good eye. There is lots of things they forget to mention through all their videos. I've contacted them about it and they told me that they would consider adding some extra content. You learn a lot in practice after you boat for years, lol. This is just a theoretical test. It means nothing related to how well you preform on the water. Nothing can beat tears of practical experience.
