Enjoy it, care for it, never sell it, make it who you are. Once upon a time, also after saving up, I drove for hours to go get a 1967 321 Speedmaster, my grail. The watch always reminds me of July 1969, when I was 8 and watching the moon landings on a black and white TV at my grandma's. So this old 321 always takes me back to the childhood dreams. I got it at the traveler’s factory in Kyoto! It’s only available as an exclusive there, but i’m sure folks might sell em on ebay. Alternatively, if you’ve got friends traveling to Kyoto soon, can get em to help you get one! :)
Lance Armstrong went to the moon???!!! Wow! I didn’t know that! I’m going to bet that NASA never knew that “Lance” Armstrong went to the moon! Is that the Lance Armstrong watch? So I guess it was Neil Armstrong that was the Tour de France bike racer…
Congrats on getting one! The APC is made by the same brand Aoshima, so when hunting make sure it is, and it’s also 1/72 scale so it can fit into the bay.
Your content is great. Someone that's into cars, watches, and lives in Japan. So cool man! My dream watch is also a speedmaster moonwatch. I'd also love a Grand Seiko.

Yeah I agree! The prices have all been going up, it’s making affordable watch collecting.. not super affordable haha. Importantly though, I guess these pieces still do stand the test of time.
I just bought mine for $440, on eBay. That was new. All the other ads were in the $600 brand new range. I think I got lucky at the price I paid, but still very expensive.
I know it depends from person to person but to me the speedmaster is the superior luxury chronograph. You may not be able to flip an omega for profit in the gray market the same way with daytonas, but overall this is a more iconic piece imo. The daytona only managed to generate hype around it throughout it's existence, but the speedmaster actually cemented itself in history.
@@betterdanthis I got it off ebay. I paid I think $250 for it, but it's super nice so it was worth it imo. Hopefully gonna get a good 3 head in the future and start making some really good recordings
This thing is by far the best watch! for me even better than any rolex! fuck rolex and all ADs with their shitty list that dont exist and their fucking overpriced products! this thing is more classy and accurete than any rolex watch! it was back in the 60s and it will! Apart from that rolex every 1- 2 years stop and need service! Omegas dont!
I get what you mean! they did their best though haha, and the lower price point really is a good entry level. But yeah, the "presence" is real different (even when it's on the wrist)
I got my Speedy a couple of months ago at 52. I had a fortune in my 30s and lost it all through divorce, poor exchange rate, the 2008 crash and more. Was a very tough time. I emigrated to the US at 40, the land of opportunity. No savings, no retirement funds and getting towards middle age with nothing behind me, had to do something. I said when I make back what I lost, I would do or get myself something to mark that milestone. My milestone. That happened this February 2024. My Moonwatch is my daily wearer and when I look at it, I see what I lost and what I achieved and it is a constant reminder to never give up and to continue following my dreams and growth. Congratulations on your milestone at such a young age and keep dreaming and keep believing. And keep that watch in your wrist as a reminder that you can continue to grow personally and professionally. Your watch is your best friend.
