Finding local ways to divert from landfills such as food rescue. Even in food service, there were leftovers that normally would go to waste that I was able to take home.
Lately I've been growing our veggie scraps! I started with celery this past spring and that's going pretty okay (the rabbits have officially taken over haha), but I just started to grow some carrot heads in water, and they're growing like crazy! Hopefully I can plant those soon
Love this! I’ve been reusing and thrifting most things ever since I moved out of my family home. My home decor and wardrobe is more unique because of it. And it meant that I was able to save more all those years so I could finally travel out of country for the first time. Plus, when emergencies do come up and a new, expensive thing is needed, it’s not as stressful of a purchase.
@@athenapantazes Second hand stuff is awesome. And sometimes you find something better quality than you could buy new. Got to go on a historical tour of Israel (a while ago obviously), and then this year I went to New Zealand with friends!

I definitely tried my hand at saving as many peices of furniture from the landfill to flip them a few years back. I gave most of them away to broke college students like me tho once I made them nice again 😅
Absolutely lol, do you think if you got an insane amount of money like tomorrow would life look all that different for you and what you use in every day life ? I live like this because I like to but also I don’t think I could really afford not to live like this either 😂
Yeah… this is just who I am 🤣 I am pretty adamant about not being a consumer (of new, fast-fashion, sweatshop made, plasticy things) as much as possible.
