What are you faking by pushing it forward though? You're just making it easier for the D to poke check you. There's no threat created by moving it forward, so there's nothing for them to bite on.
Aaargh!!!! I soooo wanna do his canp at 5th 3rd arena in Chicago soon....but i have to work and it's for kids only? Im a 49 year old hospice registered nurse.
AA at 8 is pointless I somewhat agree with him on the mechanics of it but you don’t need or really want to play AA or AAA too early because you’re more likely to burnout
@@D.Wagner2 thank you for the personal attack--very nice. I'm a teacher, and if this was how I taught, I don't know what to tell you. 56 seconds on my life I will not get back.
You will hear about Maria Gilshannon. She's going to the 16U USA Hockey camp next month. There is really not not a lot of distance between her now and Pro players. It's early. Big strong girl with perfect skating. However she's got lots to learn and develop. She watches your channel.

Over exaggerated for the glory of the coach, This is not efficient for speed , but quick steps allow you the ability to change direction and transition in short distances. UNDER CONTROL, not chaotic and yes, fake name, I been coaching NHL development camp for 25 years. Trade off for the agility of quickness versus speed. Two different aspects.
I don't play hockey, but I played soccer for a while. In soccer, the defender takes the pass option and the goalie takes the shooter. Is this the same in hockey?
