Our area has great cities like Corvallis, Albany and Lebanon in the middle of the Willamette Valley. Salem area with smaller rural towns surrounding it and everything north towards Portland.
Born (1940) and raised in Corvallis. Many of my best friends were faculty children and grew up in this neighborhood. My kindergarten (1944-46) was in the Harding Elementary basement. I have always wondered why Arnold Way was laid out in a diagonal.
There is commercial air service from Eugene that is much closer than Portland. There are many new apartments under construction in the Geary, Queen, and Waverly area. Many of the jobs are in the metal refining and casting industry.
Hey Tyler, great video. I have lived in the Corvallis/Philomath since 1961 and you are correct, it’s a great place to live. One other item, Corvallis has a fantastic airport. It’s about 5 miles south of Corvallis. There are no commercial airline services to the airport at the moment, but if you want to learn to fly, Corvallis is the place to do it. In my opinion it is one of the best flight training airports on the west coast of the U.S.A. The only con of living here, is the housing and property taxes are way to high! Other than that, Corvallis is the place to live. Again, thanks for the great video.
How many Indian restaurants are in Albany? This is an important criteria I look for when considering moving to a new community. Also, what is the average response time for an ambulance, and is it volunteer or professionally staffed?
I believe that we have 3 Indian restaurants in town. 1 being a great food truck in Millersburg. 2 more are in nearby Corvallis. We have 5 stations in Albany. From what I see, our firefighters are paid hourly so mostly professionally. There are like most areas a chance at volunteering to gain experience. I'm searching response times so I'll get back to you.
A lot of what Corvallis experiences is high percentages of burglaries and theft. Of course, some areas much more than others. It is surprisingly high compared to what it has been in the past but other larger than 50k populated areas in the state have been seeing it.
Once the students are gone then it is definitely quieter. The city can often feel half the size. Travelers will come into the city but it doesn't feel to busy.
I believe I filmed this in September. Been posting about 2 driving tours a month in order of when I did them. Have a little backlog I'm trying to get posted.
I was ran out of Albany Oregon from neighborhood group gang stalking and electrical harassment on 9th sw started 2022 from ex Tony J Lane after catching him cheating with everyman in albany or. I had to leave everything I own behind he is dangerous beware

Why don't you tell them about our crime rate here in Albany? Or how the roads are falling apart and the city would rather give money to that worthless carousel instead of fixing them? You should let them know how the city 's noise ordinance was unofficially repealed and it's now perfectly legal to scream all night in a crowded residential neighborhood? Conflict of intere$t?
I could tell them how Albany is under the state average in crime in every aspect but 1 🤷♂️. www.areavibes.com/albany-or/crime/ The carousel is by donations and the roads (in some areas) need some TLC (East of Hasty Freeze especially) but every town has that issue. Maybe next time.
Yeah, I got a little bit of the condo area but not the Trellis Dr side. Camera ran out of juice and had to backtrack and redo a section then somehow didn’t go that way 😫. Future video I have in the coming weeks is all the city parks and I’ll post the time mark for Grand Oaks Park.
Yeah, why don't you talk about the CRIME rate here in Albany? Why didn't your cons include the fact that the city is crawling with homeless junkies? I live next to one of those parks and it's covered in heroin needles and garbage. The city doesn't spend a nickel cleaning it. There's only a handful of cops and they don't give a damn what homeless people do in the park.
