I've never trusted the original rubber couplings, but seeing your one just gave me an idea: I am going to have one made with two equal triangles (I have the e36 prop). It will give me much more peace of mind. Great stuff!
I am planning to turbo mine too but I am too old to go to all the trouble of lifting the engine just to get the sump out. Then I saw a Finnish guy putting his oil return into the timing chain cover, which solved my problem. Now I am looking forward to starting my build as soon as I've got the space in my garage. You do, however, have the added bonus of being able to address the oil pump nut issue, which is a very good step to take. I learn a lot of things by watching your videos. Thanks, Mike!
I searched the company up thinking they might be cheaper since they ended up to be local coincidencely. Their main bread and butter isnt creating wheels but something elae cant remember. But Let's just say, they offer custom wheels from CAD DRAWINGS to real wheels , what what ever you can imagine and dream of they can make it happen. But you need deep pockets, even Their off the shelf wheels starts over 3 k Canadian per Wheel. All I can say your felxing on everybody having ur own wheels created.
Hey bro i know this video is old but i just done the same swap and i got 1 problem, there is a slight vibration when i speed up and i can't verify from where, changed motor mounts, trans mounts, driveshaft bearing, the one thing that i didn't touch it the diff and axels, are these the problem
Keep in mind. All you to do is get a GED to become a cop. Shows how smart you have to be to do their job. Most of them turn into fat asses because they do nothing productive in their pathetic existence
How have you been liking the Wilwood brakes? I’ve heard mixed opinions. I was about to get them but refreshed stock setup instead with 7series master cylinder upgrade, steel lines etc. My car is almost done will be running about 260whp NA. Not big power like you but still wondering if the original brakes will be enough. You car looks sick btw
Love them bro car stops amazingly mine was originally a 318 so it had even smaller brakes it was barely stopping the m50 when I had it NA so I had no choice but to upgrade on an NA set up these might be a little overkill but obviously you’d rather have too much stopping power than not enough
@@mikeshiftseveryday Damn lol. Yeah I was on the fence. I also have a 318is but I did a K24 swap which is lighter vs the original M42 so I’ll how it feels. If I ever go forced induction will upgrade to wilwood for sure.
I didnt know FX is known as a ebay clutch. Plenty of ppl use FX cluthes in there audi's. Supposedly FX is a more premium quality brand... better than factory stock cluthes
😂😂😂 that was back when I didn’t even do the reinforcement too shit was fuckeddd I have a video on that aswell but after adding the plates and bushings to the frame she was solid
Very manageable these cars are fairly simple to work on after picking at them a few times you’ll get the hang of it. My e30 is a 91 that’s the oldest bmw I own not that it “needs” repairs but I’m constantly just adding to the car as the project never seems to end lol
Truthfully no. You'll likely need to do rod bearings, vanos and subframe. That will set you back about 6-7500. For now I'd suggest sticking with a Japanese car until you have higher income in few yrs
@outsideboy23 sounds like the better/smarter choice. I've spent about 3k/yr on maintenance for this M3 and that doesn't include the 6-7k big 3 I mentioned. Hopefully you find yourself in a better position financially in a few years then you can revisit the E46 M3. The bmw 240,340,440 all have the B58 motor. That might be something for you to consider in the future as it's more reliable
@outsideboy23 I hope you get it bud. But few months is too short time. Consider in few years. Set yourself up for long term financial success so you can get yourself a Porsche one day!
The cars been turbo for about a year now I upgraded to stage 4 when I did that so for about 2 years this stage 2 kit held up fine still had plenty of life left when I removed it
hey man, been watching your videos for a long time. I'm in NH and my dad is thinking on selling his 2005 M3 6 speed manual. has a little over 100k on it. big three have been taken care of. Its black on black. Let me know if you have any interest. Be well!
