That was awesome! I just finished playing the game and had been thinking it would be a ton of fun/work to route for a speedrun. I had a blast trying to keep track of the routing work you put into this (I'm sure I missed a bunch of stuff). Impressive stuff! Congrats and thanks - what a great game to experience again in a condensed format like this.
Thank you! It's been such a wonderful game to enjoy casually and then to speedrun! I hope you give it a shot as I'm sure there are still plenty of optimizations left to be found. It's a lot to keep up with but also a surprisingly fun and quick run once you really start having a bunch of things to do. Glad you've enjoyed Spiritfarer, too! Thunder Lotus's games are amazing.
It has not been patched out. The angle that the left joystick needs go be held at can be a bit precise but otherwise as long as you hold the grab connecting button (L2 or equivalent) while alternating between the jump & switch buttons, then it should work. Finding a good angle to hold the joystick took us the most time to figure out and mess around with. We usually try and hold up and slightly into the wall. Sorry to hear it's been giving you trouble.
@@ripwsbbackup Thanks for the reply. I managed to get it in the end, although I struggle to perfect it. This game is infuriating though trying to get the gold time on level 2!
@@ripwsbbackup i never played the game, but for what i heard, the gold medals are quite tough, if you're playing alone it demands you great cordination and cooperation with yourself
