Videos from the streets of New York City. Living in New York City can be a thrilling experience but it comes with set of challenges and a hefty price tag. Is it worth it? Absolutely.
...last time I was there was in 1976 during the Bicenenntial celebrations...I climbed over the chain link fence to get into the festivities w/o paying the 5 dollar fee...the ONLY time I ever 'snuck' (in plain view) into an event...
Who wants to ban personal vehicles? You'll get stuck in traffic during rush hours and can't find space for free parking, especially oversized vehicles. Buying an expensive car makes you a loser!
yes, it truly is a beautiful neighborhood in NYC... been walking up/down many times and soon back in the city... looking forward to it all.. the food, the coffee, the smell, the sounds, the people.. everything..
A couple more years have passed, and you are still gone. I hope you are happily living your life, and I wish you well. Thank you for sharing so many wonderful neighborhood tours with us.
I became very familiar and perhaps acquainted with Park Slope in Brooklyn,in the early 2000's-It's very nice there, and full of American people-And all kinds of Americans too!😅
My old neighborhood, 40 Precent , St. Jerome R.C. church and elementry school. It was a great place to grow up. I wish the current residents the best. I live in Indiana but always fondly remember the Bronx.
Your video just showed how New York is now 4:40 l moved to New York in 1975 to go to college everything you showed has been going on since well before I lived there that’s the city. If you go to Bombay yes I’m calling that for a reason. People bury their heads in the dirt with their hand out if you don’t give money they suffocate NYC is everything thank you
Colonizer transplants ruined yet another NY neighborhood, displaced the inhabitants. While their parents were responsible for redlining the former inhabitants into certain neighborhoods. Now their trash shows up , once again displacing the inhabitants without knowing the history. Because their parents never taught them the racist practices their family was associated with..DISGUSTING
Originally from Rye New York I have been a Chelsea Manhattan resident since 2004. Prior to that I commuted to Grand Central Terminal over a 30-year. I was a member of The Saint in the 1980s. My block is all art galleries. London Terrace built in the 1930s occupies the entire block. The four corners buildings are condominiums while the central buildings are rentals. It has an olympic-size pool concierge as well. Plus the things we used to do up on The High Line before it was The High Line you don't want to know. West 22 Street is my block. The building shown on the right used to be a Mobile Station.
Great video! I want the Village of the 1960s and early 1970s back... Eighth Street with its small shops, Cafe Borgia, and NYU not gentrifying the area along with the real estate industry.
Great videos of NYC ! How come everyone seems to be 30 years old ? What happens to the old people? Do they get killed after 50 ? And where are the children ? Are the real people all living in the suburbs ?
I have been a few times to NYC and I can say that it is very safe... you have to walk fast and be attentive all the time because people are always in a hurry, but it's safe. I have also visited Chicago and believe me, its subway is a living hell.
