I always took and put a little tig weld on the pin when I worked at the lawn shop, never had one come back. did so many under warranty its crazy they are still having problems with those cams. also pretty crazy that when that puppy lets go the most damage i've seen done was a wiped out governor gear.... pretty tough motors just shit acr design ! cool video man

Hey man is there anyway you could post a video of how you connect the coils to the cdi, I’m building one for a jet jon build and can’t find anything on how to wire it all, just don’t want to burn the cdi if I connect the wrong wires.

Yo i have a question for ya...my uncles 750sl sat for years I got it in the water last weekend and the bendix didn't kick out right away but started working throughout the weekend...I went backup 2 days ago and could not get it to start the starter was spinning But the Bendix wasn't kicking out. I was planning on replacing in the starter until I just watched this video. My question is now that you have context do you think I can clean the bendix and get away with it or is it something that I'll have to replace? If so will i have to pull the engine to replace that bendix? I was a diesel mechanic for years and I'm winging to on this 2 stroke stuff lol send help😅
@@greenmonsterisb I can't really answer that question, I can't say I've replaced the 750 starter before without motor being out of hull I've never tried, youll have to take a look at the bendix when you get it out see if it's worth cleaning
@@glennsr.1082 its been so long I can't remember I want to say possibly a cat pump, there's a name on top my head can't think of, if you need a pump there fairly easy to find for John deere on line around 350ish
First check the rocker studs and then adjust the valve lash, then check to see if the release is working correctly 😢😢😢 Or you’ll be wasting the customer money
Rebuilding a polaris slt750 piston, so I've been watching your videos a lot lately. Not sure if I need to get into carbs, but I figure I might eventually.. what exactly does this do? Is it like a high idle?
Keep in mind that the case gasket from briggs is 15 thousands and the gaskets from most aftermarket kits are much thicker and will give you too much crank end play. Other than that I think using the old cam was the way to go..JS

Meanwhile i started the jetski few times the battery and battery terminals get very hot. Is the starter bad ? or battery ? Its a new Chrome AGM battery. Any help is appreciated. Mannie

@@ameister2527 I used the gasket and gasket maker make sure to torque to spec take your time think I've put 8k miles on since knock on wood were holding up

It seems like repairing this, will just lead to it breaking again. It's a bad design. If it broke before, it will break again. I'm not about to tear my engine completely out of my mower and apart to do this. There has to be a better way. One video shows a German guy clogging the air intake to stop compression, and that's fine, if you can easily get to the air intake... mine you have to disassemble too much. I'm wondering if a spark plug could be designed and modified with a value and a pull wire made out of nonconductive material that could solve this G.D. problem for everyone. Because Briggs and Stratton obviously aren't stepping up.
Some people think that if the compression release is broke, you can still get them started and use them? No you should not run them that way. There are pats floating around inside the crank case that could cause more damage to the motor.
