Hi Professor. Love your videos. Why, when finding the pressure in the barrel, do you use the I.D? The pressure is being caused by the band which is being applied on the O.D.
A cool trick to determine whether to use sin or cos when resolving is to look at your vector, and if the direction you are trying to resolve in has you go through your angle then it's cos, whilst if it has you moving away use sin, easy way to remember this '' Turn away from your sins'' for sin.

Hey Dr Hanson, shouldn't the thickness be "1.25w" instead of "w" when calculating shear stress, also I just want to say thank you so much for this online course, it has really helped me.
