Jay Taylor is a North Carolina native. A true 80’s baby, he was raised in the coastal city of New Bern. Here, he grew up in a religious but musical home, developing as a singer and pianist at an early age. Having a father as a pastor and a mother as a church musician, he was the typical “black sheep,” which eventually lead him down a dangerous path in his teenage years. With renewed faith in Christ, Jay eventually got his life on track. He is now a devoted husband to his wife and works constantly to produce soul-searching music that inspires hope.
He was influenced by his father and the church. I get what you're saying but study things closely. Look a little closer and check out the overall way he's flowing
@@Rashaun1978 his dad is nice to I like that one song his dad did that was a remake of prince purple rain! PJ is super nice but definitely influenced by D’Angelo on this record! Go listen to D’Angelo song “ALRIGHT”
I love all things PJ Morton. He is sooo talented. I especially loved when he was in the studio, the Walls sang, and PJ sang to his wife. The energy and display of love and respect was beautiful 🙏🏽💞🙏🏽. Plus… all that talent in one room at one time was almost too must to inhale. Thanks for sharing your talents, PJ 🖤
My best guess is they thumbed down the camerawork. Grateful they captured this footage, but they must have been on their fifth bourbon shot with that shaky hand
