sorry, no. I use NPT to an fittings. Mostly Evil Energy on Amazon, they seem to have fairly consistent quality. I also have been using PTFE lined hose as I find it easier to work with and it's good for almost any fluid.

@@mudpuddle8805 these videos are just from a phone. The roadster runs low 8's in the eighth with supercharged flathead, it used to run high 6's with the 347 that is now in my Ranger.

@@ianwright6893 I don't think it would do much good because the exhaust port in this block is only like 1 5/8 anyway.

To use your programmed 2D ignition graph/table, did you need to "lock out" your distributor? I'm assuming yes, but I can't find a definitive answer. And contrary to the feedback, thank you for the video! There unfortunately seems to be very little (if any at all) technical resources or videos about this specific ignition box. Too new of a product I suppose.

thanks, yes after I locked the distributor I had to set the timing at 15 degrees (if I remember correctly) and then go back to the app and tell the system to read the 2d program. There the system reads whatever you have programmed as a graph. It didn't show on the video very well, but on mine I had it start at 10 degrees and then ramp up to 35 and actually go down slightly after 5000 or so.

at the time the car seemed to stay flatter than it did, long story on why the car spun. #1 I was not on the course (I ran off to the right from the flags) this area was groomed for the next day's racing #2 I usually let the car kinda find it's path and this probably got me behind on making corrections.

I remember this well. There was three Mustangs at Bonneville that year your car another Mustang who I don’t know who it was and Joe Jolly‘s car. I was driving Joe Jolly‘s car on my rookie runs and man was I nervous.

a diaper is a engine containment device to keep oil and parts that might be exiting the engine to get on the track. I will do another short to show the diaper I have. Per NHRA rules a person could also build a containment pan, but I believe this would have to cover the area below the engine and transmission.

By sucking through the exhaust port you are actually getting an average flow reading of both ports with no way to separate out the intake flow. Sealing the exhaust port and pulling through from the bottom of the cylinder will give the result only for the intake . An interesting video though.

The two middle exhaust ports feed into one outlet, therefore there's three ports per side.

Supposedly stock was 110hp, this short block is completely stock. With this performance camshaft, Edelbrock heads and the 450cfm carb, probably makes 120 hp. Lol

Really don't drive the truck much, but haven't had any problems with the ignition system. I am having the oil analyzed to see if the engine is eating a lifter.

the supercharger is a very old Holley (that became B&M) 142. I had it rebuilt with new teflon strips and bearings. Currently the whole blower setup is on our 32 Roadster that can be seen in my latest videos. Sold the Mustang.

I couldn't get it to work with my laptop, I ordered a new cable but then I got the phone app figured out.

@@saltracer1 Interesting. Did your computer see that anything was plugged in when connected? When I plug my box in to the computer the box power light comes on but the computer doesn't see any cord being plugged in at all. Tried 4 computers and 3 cords. The phone app works for me but I paid for full functionality and the laptop is supposed to have that. I'm going to send mine back to Summit and try another one but it's not sounding great.

@@saltracer1 So I got a replacement box and it was the same issue connecting to the laptop, however this time I tried a fourth cord and surprise both boxes connected. 3 out 4 of my cords are power only and no data. I imagine this is common place. Would it kill MSD to put in a $2 usb cord that works.

I bought this T5 from a guy (former Ford engineer) that ran this trans in a Mercury Merkur that ran over 200 at Bonneville and in the 10's in the quarter. This was his drag race trans modified by Liberty transmissions. They had removed 5th gear as the other Ford engineers told him it was the weak link. I had a close ratio overdrive put back. .079 to one. The shifter is mounted more to the rear than a S10 more like a Mustang.

This is awesome. 6000 rpms from a flathead is just crazy. Didn't think it'd be possible. I saw you mention the bottom half, Ross pistons, scat crank, ect. What I was wondering and didnt see was about your valvetrain upgrades. Cammed? Different valves? Just curious.

@@pd2340 If I remember this engine had 1.6 stainless valves both intake and exhaust, with Isky valve springs and a Schneider racing cam purpose built for turbo.
