I’m fairly certain Steve was my Sensei in Kinning park in Glasgow in the mid 90s. I wasn’t a great student. I was probably between 8 and 10yo and attended sporadically but it’s one of those things I really regret not sticking with.
if you type into google, who was the first karate practitioner to gain black belt in the british isles, you wont get an answer. if you change it to great britain then Andy Sherry Wikapedia will show up, which states he was the first in the UK, but there is no mention of Tommy Morris, who got his black belt in 1965 one year before Andy Sherry who received his in 1966. why is this, and does anybody know if anyone else can lay claim to having been the first Karate black belt in the British isles or if you prefer Great Britain.
I currently train with Steven Morris we just got back from London for a competition we all did really good and as Steven Morris's student I became the first peewee black belt in Scotland and next year I will be getting my black belt
I’ve heard about how good of a fighter you are Harris. Sensei Steve talks regularly of how good you are. I’m one of his students of 10 years from stamperland.
At one time, there was at least one TV show featuring Mr Morris and I am pretty sure, one of the top female students. I think it was on STV. During the show, there were a number of self defense type demos and breaking of bricks. I trained at the Glassford street club from age 11 to age 17 when I could afford it. I see many familiar faces in the pictures and can name a good number of them.
Where's the credit for Ethan Coen's original short story? Pretty uncool to put up a film and pass it off as your own work without crediting the original story it's based on.
This was a college assignment, we were not taking credit for someone else's work by making this! But I I will take your point :) The lack of credit was simply just a mistake
