I aways had husky saws but the new ones a junk 562 and the 572 and didn't not last long and I had enough that I will buy a cloned saw next time witch is soon
Cool video Joe I love the older big bores. I've been trying to no avail getting my hands on a clean low use Stihl 066 magnum and my fave Husky 394XP do you know if any for sale? Your help is appreciated
I remember the Husqvarna 288XP, it was a complete turd saw. Sucked gas like an alcoholic, didn't vibrate on the ground but it sure did in your hands! Haven't ever heard of a Lite version, can't imagine it is any better.
Did you ever get this pipe Dyno tested? I’m real close to buying one on your eBay store but you mentioned getting it Dyno tested 3 months ago and I can’t find anything associated with that test
What is the factory clearance on side to side play on rod I ordered one from Rev 6 and it has 0.012 on mag side and 0.006 on pto something just don't seam right there
Both saws will absolutely suck until they both break in. Not one person mentioned this 🤷♂️. I bought a brand new Stihl 261 “Non Mtronic” saw with 20” bar, installed a hour meter+rpm gauge. I was not impressed with its performance. It Bogged super easy, stalled with little to no pressure. I swapped to a 32:1 mix ratio, installed a full chisel chain, I re-tuned the high/low jets on the saw to perfection. Did a bunch of heat cycles on my saw and running to allow break-in. After 2 hours of use on the hour meter, it’s finally impressing me. Feels like a demon race saw now lol. I went from not thinking 261 was enough saw, to wondering why it so powerful and sounds like the gates of hell while the bar is buried in wood. These saws really open up after break-in, it’s a real thing!!! Keep running the saws. They both will turn in to amazing machines.
At 2:44 when you guys start cutting the cookies. The Husky was about 20 seconds and the Stihl was about 23. Granted there is some variation in just cutting, different chains etc. But it even online and in your vids. The Husky seems to perform better stock by a little bit. But the second you do things like different chains, filing the rakers, muffler mods and tweaking the carb etc. You can change a saws performance 2 or 3 seconds easily. Bottom line both are killer saws! I just wanna lick and touch'em all. Lol.
Here's an Economics awakening. You cannot compete with "slave" labor - China pays 50cents/hr. (likely much less); USA pays $15 - $25/hr.w/benifits. At 1000 employees, China saves about $100,000/day and about $30 million a year and another $30 mil. for no benifits & cheap parts. Stihl & Husky use China parts too and can cut their prices in half and still make good profits. The real problem is Americans WANT cheep prices over quality. It will be interesting/shocking to watch artificial intelligence and robots proliferate.
It may have felt good to this guy who doesn't have a saw in his hands as much as others do but clearly this wasn't worthy of a video and especially not that holler at the end
Gotta put the screw back in when you take the screen out, mine burnt a perfect little hole right through the damn cover and the chain break and now it burns the shit out of my hand😢.
I run a blue gen 3 g660 as a cut down saw everyday. Runs and cuts amazing. My only problem with the farmertec is the carb always needs tuned. I have been running them for years. They are worth the money. I usually get about a year to a year and a half out of them before they lunch the top or bottom end. When that happens I throw it on the shelf and grab a new one and go back to work. Good running and cutting saw
